Tlalixcoyan (pronounced Tlah-leeks-KOH-yan) is a municipality in the Mexican state of Veracruz. [1] In Tlalixcoyan the main indigenous language is the Chinantec.

Lorenzo Barcelata, composer, was born in Tlalixcoyan, Veracruz, and he died in Mexico City from cholera.
