Frans Tlokwe Maserumule (born 6 June 1955) [1] is a South African politician and former anti-apartheid activist. He represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly,serving the Limpopo constituency,from 1999 to 2009 and later from 2010 to 2014.

During apartheid,Maserumule was a member of the outlawed ANC and its military wing,Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK). [3] In 2000,the Truth and Reconciliation Commission granted him amnesty in respect of his actions during an MK attack on a South African Defence Force counter-insurgency base at Tonga in 1982. [4]
Maserumule served two consecutive terms in the National Assembly from 1999 to 2009,gaining election in 1999 [1] and 2004. [5] During this time,there was a minor scandal in 2008 when South African Airways reported that he had been removed from an airplane,apparently after a drunken argument with another passenger. Though not initially re-elected to his seat in the 2009 general election,Maserumule later returned to the National Assembly for a final term from 2010 to 2014,joining on 29 July 2010 to fill a casual vacancy. [8] [9]
Ephraim Phumuga Mogale was a South African politician and former anti-apartheid activist. The inaugural president of the Congress of South African Students (COSAS),he was an underground operative for Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK) in the Northern Transvaal and was imprisoned on Robben Island from 1980 to 1985. After the end of apartheid,he represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly and Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature.
Limpopo is one of the nine multi-member constituencies of the National Assembly of South Africa,the lower house of the Parliament of South Africa,the national legislature of South Africa. The constituency was established as Northern Transvaal in 1994 when the National Assembly was established by the Interim Constitution following the end of Apartheid. It was renamed Northern in 1999 and Limpopo in 2004. It is conterminous with the province of Limpopo. The constituency currently elects 19 of the 400 members of the National Assembly using the closed party-list proportional representation electoral system. At the 2019 general election it had 2,608,460 registered electors.

The constituency currently elects 15 of the 400 members of the National Assembly using the closed party-list proportional representation electoral system. At the 2019 general election it had 1,951,776 registered electors.

Nkosinathi Benson Fihla is a South African politician and former anti-apartheid activist who represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the National Assembly from 1994 to 2013. He subsequently served as Mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay Metropolitan Municipality from March 2013 until May 2015. Fihla first joined the ANC in 1954 through its Youth League and he was imprisoned on Robben Island from 1964 to 1978 for his work with Umkhonto we Sizwe.
