Toa Tanimo

Auteletoa Tanimo (born 8 June 1994) [1] is a Samoan New Zealander netball player who plays as a goal attack and goal shoot. [1] She has represented Samoa internationally as part of the Samoa national netball team.

Tanimo is from the villages of Pata Falelatai and Samalaeʻulu on the island of Savaiʻi. [2] She has been playing netball since she was nine. [3] She works as a physical education teacher at Westlake Girls High School in Auckland, New Zealand. [3] [4]

She was first selected for the Samoa national netball team in 2014. [2] She was later in the teams for the 2015 and 2019 Netball World Cups, [3] [2] as well as its bronze medal-winning squad at the 2015 Pacific Games in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. She was selected for the squad for the 2022 PacificAus Sports Netball Series, [5] and captained the team. [6]

In July 2021, she was selected to be Samoa's national player for World Netball's "Voice of the Athlete" Working Group. [2]

The England national women's netball team, also known as the Vitality Roses, represent England in international netball competition. England are coached by Jess Thirlby, and are currently captained by Serena Guthrie with Natalie Metcalf as vice-captain. As of 1 July 2020, the team is ranked third in the INF World Rankings. England have won one silver and several bronze medals at the World Cup and have won one gold medal at the Commonwealth Games.

Temepara Anne Bailey is a New Zealand international netball player of Samoan and Māori descent. She was a member of the Silver Ferns national squad in 1996, and from 2000–2011. George retired from international duties after the 2011 World Netball Championships in Singapore. She played domestic netball in the ANZ Championship as captain of the Northern Mystics. Since the inaugural season, George has taken part in every quarter for the Mystics. She retired from all netball in 2012.

Caitlin Bassett

Caitlin Bassett is a former Australian netballer, who played for Giants Netball and the Australia national netball team. Between 2017 and 2021 Bassett captained Australia in international netball tests.

Rachel Rasmussen is a New Zealand netball player of Samoan descent who plays in the position of goal defense and goal keeper. She has represented both New Zealand and Samoa at the international level. Rasmussen was signed with the Auckland Diamonds in the Coca-Cola Cup in 2000, continuing with the side until the competition's end in 2007. With the start of the ANZ Championship in 2008, she remained in Auckland with the new Northern Mystics side, alongside her sister Grace. She played two years with the Mystics, but was not signed on for 2010. However, she received a callup to the Wellington-based Central Pulse as a temporary replacement player for injured defender Katrina Grant.

Demelza McCloud is an Australian netball player. She was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. McCloud was selected in the Australian national team in 2004 and 2005. Domestically, she has played for the Adelaide Thunderbirds and Melbourne Kestrels in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy, and also played in New Zealand for the Otago Rebels in the 2007 National Bank Cup.

Laura Geitz

Laura Geitz is a former Australian netball player and former captain of the Australian national team. Geitz was selected for the 2008 Australian national team, and has won a silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, a gold medal at the 2011 World Netball Championships and a gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games as captain. In domestic netball, Geitz plays for the Queensland Firebirds in the ANZ Championship. She previously captained the AIS Canberra Darters in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy.

Netball in Oceania

Netball in Oceania is generally regarded as a woman's sport. Women's sports in Oceania have traditionally had a very low profile. Despite this, netball is popular in Oceania, with its growth partly because of New Zealand encouraging the game and providing money for the training of coaches, umpires and other netball development needs. In New Zealand and in neighbouring Australia, netball is one of the most popular sports played by women.

Chelsea Pitman is an Australian-born netball player representing the England National Netball Team internationally. She is currently contracted as a training partner for the West Coast Fever playing in the Suncorp Super Netball competition in Australia. West Coast Fever has just became premiers after winning the Suncorp Super Netball League 2022. She is predominantly a wing attack, but can also play goal attack.

Sulu Tone-Fitzpatrick is a New Zealand netball and rugby sevens player. She plays for the Northern Mystics in the ANZ Championships. She can play the Goal Keeper, Goal Defence, and Wing Defence positions. She is of Samoan heritage.

Ruby Tui is a New Zealand rugby sevens player. She competed internationally when the national rugby sevens team won the silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics tournament. She won the gold medal in rugby sevens at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Joan Harnett

Joan Frances Harnett-Kindley is a New Zealand former netball player and real estate agent. She began playing for Canterbury's Sacred Hart team in 1960 and was first selected to play for the country's national squad in 1963. Harnett played in three editions of the World Netball Championships in 1963, 1967 and 1971 and was named player of the tournament of the 1967 competition that New Zealand won. She stopped playing internationally in 1971 and retired three years later. Harnett played in 116 international matches and was captain for 45 of them. took up a career in the real estate industry from 1972 to about 2007, serving as a member of various committees and was an inaugural member of the Real Estate Authority. Harnett is an inductee of the New Zealand Sports Hall of Fame and was named a Sporting Legend of Canterbury in 2007.

Sophie Drakeford-Lewis is an English netball player who plays for Team Bath and has represented the national team. She was awarded the Young Player of the Season Award for the 2019 Netball Superleague season. As a youngster, Drakeford-Lewis played tennis, and she was at one time the highest ranked Briton at under-16 and under-18 level.

Temalisi Fakahokotau is a New Zealand netball player of Tongan descent. She first played for the national team in 2014.

Samantha (Sam) Winders is a netball player from New Zealand, who has played more than 40 times for the Silver Ferns, the New Zealand national netball team.

Ronisa Lipi is a Samoan footballer who has represented both Samoa and New Zealand internationally. She plays as a goalkeeper.

Brooke Amber Williams is a New Zealand netball player who plays as a center and wing attack. She has represented Samoa internationally as part of the Samoa national netball team. She is married to rugby league player Sione Lousi.
