Obey Makambureyi (born 29 November 1993), [1] popularly known under the stage name Tocky Vibes, is a Zimbabwean award-winning Zimdancehall artist, songwriter and lyricist. He has released multiple singles. [2]
Makamure was born in Rugare Suburb, Harare. He was first spotted by top Zimdancehall artist Winky D, which led to recordings of his earlier music. His parents wanted him to focus on his studies and thought the music scene would affect his studies. They moved him back to their rural home in Chivi Masvingo Province, and later he moved to their farm in Rusape outside of Mutare . Later local reggae and dancehall artist Emmanuel "Guspy Warrior mafia19" Manyeruke took him in and helped reignite his career. He made frequent visits to Harare to record until he decided to reside in the capital permanently. [3]
Tocky Vibes released an album Toti Toti in 2015. The album was recorded using live instruments. Before the album Toti Toti HE WON AWARDS at the Zimdancehall awards in 2015 for the songs Tocky Aenda Nenyika and Mhai. Ever since then the artist has become one of the household names. He is considered one of the most talented artists in Zimbabwe because of his lyrics which have a rich social message. Being talented the young man took it by storm and now has another single hit song in 2018 called Chamakuvangu and one above all called Kendura. Faith is yet another and its real that the young man has take it by storm ( Aenda nenyika ) [4]
In 2020 a man named John Vashico, a Tocky Vibes look alike made rounds in Glendale claiming to be the musician's father. [5] Vashico claimed to have fathered Tocky Vibes and other 10 children and deserted them. The claims were dismissed by Tocky Vibes surfacing pictures with his biological father who is based in South Africa. [6]

Winky D is a Zimbabwean reggae-dancehall artist, known popularly as "The Big Man", and also known as Dancehall Igwe, Gaffa, Ninja President, Proffessor, and Extraterrestrial. Winky D is often considered the Zimdancehall pioneer and one of the most accomplished modern Zimbabwean music artists. His music often provides social commentary about Zimbabwean society and, as a result, it has faced censorship.
Tendai Ryan Nguni, is a Zimbabwean hip hop rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor from Harare, Zimbabwe who performs using the stage name Tehn Diamond or Tehn. He is a member of the hip-hop collective Few Kings, with whom he has released one album. On the First of January 2017, Tehn released his debut album titled a few good poems and later that year they released the sequel to The Feeling Aint Fair titled The Feeling Aint Fear or just #TFAF2 with Jnr Brown & Take Fizzo. He stars in the movie Cook Off, Zimbabwe's first feature film to be released via Netflix.
Zimdancehall is a subgenre of reggae/dancehall music from Zimbabwe. The traditional way of message delivery is through chanting. Zimdancehall became more popular after the fall of the Urban Grooves genre. Popular pioneers of Zimdancehall include Winky D, Sniper Storm, Daddie Distress, Ras Tavonga, Freeman HKD, Lewaz Skattah to mention a few.

Michael Mahendere born 28 May 1983 is a Zimbabwean gospel musician, preacher and businessman. Mahendere is a pastor at United Family International Church under Emmanuel Makandiwa. He rose to prominence after re-arranged the song, Makanaka Jesu together with the UFI Choir, which became a hit and is also well known for his album, Getting Personal With God II with hits such as Mumoyo. He is usually associated with the title, "Minister" Michael Mahendere.
