The Sisters of Mercy are an English rock band, formed in 1980 in Leeds. After achieving early underground fame there, the band had their commercial breakthrough in the mid-1980s and sustained it until the early 1990s, when they stopped releasing new recorded output in protest against their record company WEA. Currently, the band are a touring outfit only.
Stephen Anthony James Duffy is an English musician, singer and songwriter. He was a founding member, vocalist, bassist and then drummer of Duran Duran. He went on to record as a solo performer under several different names, and is the singer and songwriter for The Lilac Time with his older brother Nick. He has also co-written with Robbie Williams and Steven Page.
Honeymoon Suite is a Canadian pop metal band formed in 1981 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. The band's name was a nod to the fact that Niagara Falls is the unofficial honeymoon capital of the world.
Cleopatra are an R&B/pop girl group from the UK. Their debut single, "Cleopatra's Theme" entered the UK Singles Chart at number 3, and the Billboard Hot 100 at number 26. They parted ways with WEA after the release of their second album.
"Holiday" is a song by American rock band Green Day. It was released as the third single from the group's seventh studio album American Idiot, and is also the third track. The song is in the key of F minor. Though the song is a prelude to "Boulevard of Broken Dreams", "Holiday" was released as a single later on, in March 2005.
Comin' Atcha! is the debut album by English girl group Cleopatra, released on 30 June 1998 by WEA. The album reached number 20 on the UK Albums Chart and has been certified Silver in the UK by the BPI. From the album came the singles "Cleopatra's Theme", "Life Ain't Easy", "A Touch of Love" and a cover of The Jackson 5's "I Want You Back".
Shola Ama is a British singer from London, who scored her biggest hits with a cover of Turley Richards' "You Might Need Somebody" (1997) and "Still Believe" (1999) which was one of the first productions by the Norwegian producing team Stargate.
Brilliant were a British pop/rock group active in the 1980s. Although not commercially successful and mauled by the critics, they remain notable because of the personnel involved – Martin Glover a.k.a. Youth, of Killing Joke and subsequently a top producer/remixer; Jimmy Cauty, later to find fame and fortune as one half of The KLF; and Ben Watkins a.k.a. Juno Reactor. Equally notable was their management, their record company A&R manager, and songwriting and production team.
Scarlet were an English pop duo from Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. They consisted of Cheryl Parker and Jo Youle. The group originally had a third member, Joanna Fox but she left before the band had any major success.
Popstars is the first album by Italian girl group Lollipop, released on June 1, 2001 by WEA Records / Warner Music Italy. It peaked at #14 on the Italian album chart and produced three singles, including the Italian #1 single "Down Down Down", "Don't Leave Me Now" and "When The Rain".
Popstars Remixed is a remixed album by Italian girl group Lollipop, released on March 8, 2002 via WEA Records / Warner Music Italy. It didn't reach even #75 on the Italian album chart but spawned the hit single Batte Forte (#9) which proved to be popular in radios and became also a success in Italian gay discos where it is still played regularly. The rest of the track list featured remixed tracks taken from the first group's album Popstars and the remixed version of the new single "Batte forte".
Lollipop is an Italian girl group formed in 2001 on the international television sensation Popstars, a precursor to the Idols shows. They sing mainly in English although they recorded two songs in Italian. They enjoyed good success in their home country.
"These Days" is the third single of Australian pop group Bardot, released in August 2000 on the back of their first national tour. It debuted and peaked at No. 19 on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart and was certified gold. It was the 100th-highest-selling single in Australia of 2000. The single was available in two unique formats. CD 1 contains live tracks from their Sydney shows as well as an enhanced component featuring the "These Days" music clip, a screensaver and gallery. CD 2 is a remix disc. Bardot performed "These Days" at the 2000 ARIA Awards where the group was nominated for three awards.
H & Claire were a pop duo, consisting of former Steps members Claire Richards and Ian "H" Watkins.
Un-Cut were a British group from Manchester, England, composed of Darren Lewis and Iyiola Babalola from the music production duo Future Cut, and vocalist Jenna Gibbons.
Soup for One is the soundtrack album to the movie Soup for One by American R&B band Chic et al., released by Mirage Records in 1982. The album reached number 168 on the Billboard 200 albums chart and number 42 on the R&B chart. Besides three previously released tracks, Chic's "I Want Your Love" from 1978 album C'est Chic, Sister Sledge's "Let's Go On Vacation" from 1980s Love Somebody Today and "Jump, Jump" from Debbie Harry's KooKoo, the album contains five songs specifically written and produced by Bernard Edwards and Nile Rodgers for the movie.

"The Riddle" is a song by the English singer-songwriter Nik Kershaw. It was released in 1984 as the lead single from the album of the same name. Kershaw described the lyrical content as being nondescript to fill as a "guide vocal" for the production. It reached number three on the UK Singles Chart and peaked within the top 10 in countries like Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Australia and New Zealand. An accompanying music video was made for the song and features references to Lewis Carroll's book Alice in Wonderland. The song was covered by many artists, including by Gigi D'Agostino (1999) and Jack Holiday and Mike Candys (2012).
"Seven Seas" is a single by Echo & the Bunnymen which was released on 6 July 1984. It was the third single to be released from their 1984 album Ocean Rain. It reached number 16 on the UK Singles Chart and number 10 on the Irish Singles Chart.
The Paris Collection is the second album released by the pop duo Dollar. It was released in December 1980, their first album on WEA Records.
