Toledo Line Subdivision

The Toledo subdivision is a rail line owned by CSX Transportation. This line is located in Ohio, running from Columbus to Toledo. The line serves factories such as Honda, Scottslawn, and International Paper. The railroad is a portion of the former Toledo and Ohio Central Railway, beginning at Stanley Yard (near Northwood, Ohio) and dead-ending just past Columbus. It was closed in 2007 with its last train being the Q500. [1]

The Willard Subdivision is a railroad line owned and operated by CSX Transportation in the U.S. state of Ohio. The line runs from Willard west to Deshler along a former Baltimore and Ohio Railroad (B&O) line. At its east end, at Daniels Road west of Willard, the line becomes the Willard Terminal Subdivision. Its west end is at the east end of the Garrett Subdivision, just east of Deshler and the Toledo Subdivision. The line is split at Fostoria by the Fostoria Subdivision, which includes the junction with the Columbus Subdivision, and at Galatea the line intersects the Toledo Branch Subdivision. This was once Amtrak's Three rivers line.

The Garrett Subdivision is a railroad line owned and operated by CSX Transportation in the U.S. states of Ohio and Indiana. The line runs from Deshler, Ohio, west to Willow Creek, Indiana, along a former Baltimore and Ohio Railroad (B&O) line. At its east end, just east of Deshler, the Garrett Subdivision becomes the Willard Subdivision. The line crosses the Toledo Subdivision at Deshler and ends at the junction with the Porter Subdivision and Barr Subdivision at Willow Creek.


The CL&W Subdivision is a railroad line owned and operated by CSX Transportation in the U.S. state of Ohio. The line runs from a junction with the New Castle Subdivision at Sterling northwest to Lorain along a former Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road line. It junctions with the Cleveland Subdivision at Lester and the Greenwich Subdivision at Grafton.

Fostoria Subdivision is a portion of the former Chesapeake and Ohio Railway Toledo to Columbus line. Today it is owned by CSX Transportation, one of the three subdivisions on the former C&O line.

The Saginaw Subdivision is a railroad line in the U.S. state of Michigan. The line runs 105 miles from Toledo, Ohio, to Saginaw, Michigan. CSX owns the line although since 2006, the section from Mt. Morris to Saginaw has been leased to the Lake State Railway but is still occasionally used by CSX. The Plymouth to Mt. Morris line was also leased to LSRC starting in March 2019.

The Columbus Subdivision is a freight railroad line extending from Columbus, Ohio, north to Fostoria, Ohio. The line is currently owned by CSX Transportation.

The Northern Subdivision is a railroad line owned by CSX Transportation in the U.S. states of Kentucky and Ohio. The line runs from Greenup, Kentucky, to Columbus, Ohio, for a total of 106.4 miles (171.2 km). At its south end the line continues north from the Russell Subdivision and at its north end the line continues north as the Columbus Subdivision of the Great Lakes Division.

The Central Ohio Subdivision is owned by CSX Transportation and operated by Columbus and Ohio River Railroad in the U.S. State of Ohio. The line runs from Newark to Cambridge for a total of 54.41 miles (87.56 km). At its west end the line continues east from the Columbus and Ohio River Railroad C&N Subdivision and at its east end the line comes to an end.

The Louisville Division is a railroad division operated by CSX Transportation in the U.S. states of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Tennessee, and Virginia. The Louisville Division comprises 29 subdivisions.

This forms a wye diverging off the Toledo Subdivision in Overpeck, Ohio at Overpeck Junction and meeting the Middletown Subdivision at HM Junction.

The West Virginia Secondary is a rail line that connects Columbus, Ohio, to Charleston, West Virginia, and beyond to the Gauley River valley, ending in Enon, West Virginia. The line is about 250 miles long. It crosses the Ohio River over the Point Pleasant Rail Bridge.
