Glendale is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States, located approximately nine miles (14 km) northwest of Downtown Phoenix. According to the 2019 U.S. Census estimates, the population of the city is 252,381.

Deer Valley High School is a public high school located in Glendale, Arizona, part of the Deer Valley Unified School District. The school opened its doors in 1980 with an initial enrollment of 750 students. Today, the campus is housed on more than 60 acres (240,000 m2) with a current enrollment of about 1,900 students. Deer Valley High School has been recognized for student achievements in a range of academics and athletics. The school is run by over 100 teachers, five counselors, one psychologist, four administrators, and numerous other support staff with Kim Crooks as the current principal. The 2011 renovation was the first major renovations to the school since its 1980 construction.

Opened in 1922, La Jolla High School (LJHS) is the second-oldest campus in the San Diego Unified School District (SDUSD). LJHS's 12-acre site has 14 permanent buildings. LJHS, one of the 16 high schools in the district, is located in La Jolla, a community of about 41,000 within the city limits of San Diego. The school, located south of downtown La Jolla, is surrounded by residential housing; private and public entities including the University of California, San Diego, Salk Institute, Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Scripps Health, Scripps Research Institute; and commercial properties with retail, financial and professional services. Modernization of the school has been funded through Proposition MM, The Foundation of La Jolla High School, the ongoing efforts of the PTA (PTSA), and other community partnerships.

The history of Arizona State University began March 12, 1885 with the founding of the establishment originally named the Territorial Normal School at Tempe. The school was founded after John Samuel Armstrong first introduced House Bill 164, “An Act to Establish a Normal School in the Territory of Arizona” to the 13th Legislative Assembly of the Arizona Territory. Instruction was instituted on February 8, 1886 under the supervision of Principal Hiram Bradford Farmer. Land for the school was donated by Tempe residents George and Martha Wilson, allowing 33 students to meet in a single room.

FIGSE is sometimes confused with ASU's Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, which was renamed from the regional teaching-intensive West campus College of Teacher Education and Leadership (CTEL) at the same time the historic FIGSE was disestablished.

Copper Canyon High School is a public high school located in Glendale, Arizona, United States; it is part of the Tolleson Union High School District. The school opened its doors in August 2004 and had its first graduating class in May 2008. Copper Canyon High School requires students to wear student IDs to identify them as students, and are used to access lunch accounts and conduct business in the bookstore or library. CCHS has a security staff of four members on campus to help students follow the rules, and to maintain safety on campus. CCHS holds graduation ceremonies at the State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals.
