Rwanda, officially the Republic of Rwanda, is a landlocked country in the Great Rift Valley of Central Africa, where the African Great Lakes region and Southeast Africa converge. Located a few degrees south of the Equator, Rwanda is bordered by Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is highly elevated, giving it the soubriquet "land of a thousand hills", with its geography dominated by mountains in the west and savanna to the southeast, with numerous lakes throughout the country. The climate is temperate to subtropical, with two rainy seasons and two dry seasons each year. It is the most densely populated mainland African country; among countries larger than 10,000 km2, it is the fifth most densely populated country in the world. Its capital and largest city is Kigali.
Kigali is the capital and largest city of Rwanda. It is near the nation's geographic centre in a region of rolling hills, with a series of valleys and ridges joined by steep slopes. As a primate city, Kigali has been Rwanda's economic, cultural, and transport hub since it became the capital following independence from Belgian rule in 1962.
Paul Kagame is a Rwandan politician and former military officer who is the fourth and current president of Rwanda since 2000. He previously served as a commander of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF), a rebel armed force which invaded Rwanda in 1990. The RPF was one of the parties of the conflict during the Rwandan Civil War and the armed force which ended the Rwandan genocide. He was considered Rwanda's de facto leader when he served as Vice President and Minister of Defence under President Pasteur Bizimungu from 1994 to 2000 after which the "Vice President" post was abolished.
The music of Rwanda encompasses Rwandan traditions of folk music as well as contemporary East African Afrobeat and Congolese ndombolo, and performers of a wide variety of Western genres including hip-hop, R&B, gospel music and pop ballads.
The Rwanda Defence Force is the military of the Republic of Rwanda. The country's armed forces were originally known as the Rwandan Armed Forces (FAR), but following the Rwandan Civil War of 1990–1994 and the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi, the victorious Rwandan Patriotic Front (Inkotanyi) created a new organization and named it the Rwandan Patriotic Army (RPA). Later, it was renamed to its current name.

Urban Boyz is a Rwandan R&B Afropop Duo composed of 2 members James Manzi and Muhammed Nshimiyimana. A reviewer for the Rwandan newspaper New Times described them in 2013 as "the country's leading music group."
Mani Martin is a Rwandan singer, songwriter, actor and performing artist. He has won numerous awards. His unique musical sound that reflects the Afro-fusion, urban and traditional sounds has received National & international attention hence being described by "Rwanda Spectrum Magazine" as one of the best live music performing artists of the Rwandan music scene. Mani sings in Kinyarwanda, Kiswahili, English and French.
Primus Guma Guma Super Star is an annual Rwandan reality singing competition show. PGGSS is sponsored by Bralirwa's Primus lager and was created by East African Promoters (EAP) to help grow music entertainment in Rwanda. Unlike East Africa's Tusker Project Fame and American Idol where the competitors are unknown talent, Primus Guma Guma Super Star takes known Rwandan artists and has them compete against each another in hopes of winning cash to promote their music career to new heights.
Fille Mutoni, is a Ugandan recording artist. She has collaborated with Radio and Weasel and Bruce Melody from Rwanda, among others.
Ernesto Ugeziwe is a Rwandan radio and television personality, known for his music and entertainment shows mainly on Rwanda Television. (RTV)
Vincent Biruta is a Rwandan physician and politician, who is serving as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, having been appointed in November 2019. Previously, he served as the Minister for Environment in the Rwandan cabinet, since August 31, 2017. Immediately prior to his appointment to the environment docket, he served as the Minister of Natural resources, since July 24, 2014.
Richard Tumusiime Kabonero, commonly known as Richard Kabonero is a Ugandan civil servant and diplomat, who serves as Uganda's High Commissioner to Tanzania, effective 1 August 2017.
Patrick Idringi, known as Patrick Salvado, is a Ugandan comedian, actor, master of ceremonies, radio personality and engineer. He is also known as "The Man from Ombokolo". He was first runner up in the MultiChoice Africa organised comedy competition, Standup Uganda in 2009. He reached the semi-finals of the World's Funniest Person competition in 2016 and was nominated in 2017 and 2018 in the Savannah Comic Choice Awards as the Pan African Comic of the Year.
Itahiwacu Bruce, commonly known as Bruce Melodie is a Rwandan singer and songwriter and a winner of Primus Guma Guma Superstar seasons 8 (PGGSS).
Judith Allen Heard commonly known as Judith Heard is a Ugandan fashion model and event host. She was crowned as Miss Africa in Miss Elite Awards 2021 from Egypt and Miss Environment International Africa 2022 in Mumbai, India.
Izere Daniel commonly known as Dany Beats, is a Rwandan record producer, sound engineer, songwriter, and entrepreneur in the music industry.
