Tom Homburg (born 4 January 1988) is a Bonaire footballer who currently plays for S.V. Uruguay of the Bonaire League and the Bonaire national football team. [2]

Career

Club

As a youth, Homburg played for SV Orion in his hometown of Nijmegen, Netherlands. [3] He, along with three other players from the junior teams, made his debut for the first team of the club in 2007 in a 3–0 victory against SC Veluwezoom. [4] He remained with the club until at least 2012 when he appeared in a match against FC Presikhaaf on the 5 March [5] and against SC Varsseveld on 11 March. [6] While with Orion, Homburg played as a striker. [7]

Since 2014, he has played for S.V. Uruguay of the Bonaire League. [2]

International

Homburg made his debut for Bonaire on 3 September 2014 in a 2014 Caribbean Cup qualification match against Martinique. [8]

The Bonaire national football team is the national football team of the Caribbean island of Bonaire, a public body of the Netherlands. It is under the control of the Bonaire Football Federation. It became a member of the CFU and an associate member of CONCACAF on 19 April 2013. after which it became a full CONCACAF member on 10 June 2014 The team can participate in the CONCACAF Gold Cup and Caribbean Cup because of their membership in the confederation and sub-confederation.
