Tom Insko is an American businessman and former academic administrator who served as the 12th president of Eastern Oregon University from 2015 to 2022.
Insko replaced outgoing President Bob Davies,who became President of Murray State University. [1] [2] Jay Kenton,a former administrator at the University of Oregon served as interim president before Insko took office. [3]
In 2022 Insko left EOU to take a job as CEO of a wood products company,Collins,in Wilsonville,OR. [4]
Murray State University (MSU) is a public university in Murray,Kentucky. In addition to the main campus in Calloway County in southwestern Kentucky,Murray State operates extended campuses offering upper level and graduate courses in Paducah,Hopkinsville,Madisonville,and Henderson.
David B. "Dave" Frohnmayer was an American attorney,politician,and academic administrator from Oregon. He was the 15th president of the University of Oregon,serving from 1994 to 2009. His tenure as president was the second-longest after John Wesley Johnson. He was the first native Oregonian to run the University of Oregon. Verla Clemens Insko is a Democratic member of the North Carolina House of Representatives. Insko has represented the 56th district since 1997. She is a retired health program administrator from Chapel Hill,North Carolina. Insko also previously served as a member of the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Board of Education from 1977 to 1985 and on the Orange County Board of Commissioners from 1990 to 1994. She has been noted for her progressive policy positions,such as her support for publicly funded universal health care,and stated in a candidate questionnaire,"I believe in an activist government that provides for the common good and protects the vulnerable". On September 15,2021 Insko announced that she wouldn't seek re-election to the NC House in 2022.
