Tom Nicholls is a former professional Australian rules footballer who plays for the Gold Coast Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was one of the club's underage recruits, and played in the Gold Coast's first season. Nicholls made his debut in Round 8 of the 2011 AFL season, against Adelaide. During that game he played against his girlfriend's brother, Kurt Tippett. [2]
Nicholls was born in Yarrawonga in country Victoria to a Fijian mother and an Australian father. He completed his high school studies at St Bede's College (Mentone) and St Kevin's College in Melbourne.
Nicholls attended St Kevin's College in Toorak and began playing his junior football for the Cheltenham Junior Football Club in Melbourne. He later moved to the Sandringham Dragons in the TAC Cup for the 2009 season. At the completion of the 2009 season, Nicholls signed for the newly formed GC17 team that would compete in the VFL for the 2010 season.
Nicholls made his AFL debut for the Gold Coast Suns against the Adelaide Crows in Round 8 of the 2011 AFL season. A knee injury kept him out of the team for the rest of the 2011 season.
Nicholls was the Round 16 nomination for the 2013 AFL Rising Star award. [3]
He was selected as the ruckman in the AFL Players' Association's inaugural 22under22 team. [4]

Samuel Frost is a professional Australian rules footballer playing for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). A utility, 1.94 metres tall and weighing 94 kilograms (207 lb), Frost has the ability to play as either a forward or defender, and is capable of also playing in the ruck. He entered top-level football early when he played as a bottom-aged player for the Sandringham Dragons in the TAC Cup. A midfielder, 1.78 metres tall and weighing 86 kilograms (190 lb), Viney is capable of contributing as both an inside and outside midfielder. He played top-level football at a young age playing in the first XVIII at Prince Alfred College at fifteen and was a bottom-aged player in the TAC Cup for the Oakleigh Chargers. His father, Todd Viney, is a former Melbourne captain and Jack followed in his footsteps when he was drafted by Melbourne with the twenty-sixth pick in the 2012 AFL draft under the father–son rule. After growing up in Naracoorte, South Australia, he moved to Adelaide to attend Prince Alfred College and played in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) with the Sturt Football Club, in which he played in the 2009 SANFL Grand Final. He represented South Australia in the 2009 AFL Under 18 Championships, in which he captained the side, received All-Australian honours and won the state most valuable player. His achievements as a junior saw him considered as the potential number one draft pick in the 2009 AFL draft alongside Tom Scully, he was ultimately recruited by the Melbourne Football Club with the second selection in the draft.
