Tom Wark is an American wine blogger, a public relations professional in the California wine industry, and founder of the American Wine Blog Awards. [1]
In 2011 Wark's blog was named Best Industry Wine Blog and Best Overall Wine Blog at the Wine Blog Awards in Charlottesville, VA. [2] In 2014 Wark's blog won Best Industry/Business Blog at the Wine Blog Awards held in Santa Barbara, California.
He has been described by Mike Steinberger as the wine world's first wine muckraker, using his blog "to expose the absurdity of america’s three-tiered distribution system and the money politics that perpetuates it". [3] His blogging may explore interstate wine shipping laws, restrictions on what is allowed to be labeled champagne or “old vines”, or feature interviews other wine bloggers, [4] though some find its appeal in its unpredictability. [5]
Wark is also executive director of the National Association of Wine Retailers (NAWR), a role which has positioned him in a public dispute with the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America (WSWA) over the three-tier alcohol distribution system. [6] [7]
In 2013 Wark become one of the founders of the American Wine Consumer Coalition, a national organization that advocates on behalf of the rights of wine consumers.

Allen Meadows is an American wine critic and publisher of the Burghound.com quarterly newsletter and website. He was a financial executive and private wine collector until a profile published in Wine Spectator in 1997 led him to decide to follow his passion for wine. By 2000, Meadows had left his role as CFO at a publicly traded insurance company and launched the Burghound.com site, which offers subscribers newsletters with reviews of Burgundy wine and California and Oregon Pinot noir wines as well as Champagne. Meadows regularly speaks on Burgundy and other wine subjects. Allen Meadows is retained to speak at wine events such as the Asia Symphony of Wine and Flavours - Burghound in Asia, which is held in Singapore.

Franco Ziliani was an Italian journalist, blogger and wine critic, with a specialty in Italian wines since 1985. He has contributed to several periodicals including Decanter, A Tavola, Barolo & Co. and Merum, Il Corriere Vinicolo, De Vinis, The World of Fine Wine, as well as a column for Harpers Magazine with Nicolas Belfrage MW with whom he has also contributed to Tom Stevenson's annual Wine Report. Ziliani has since been credited by La Repubblica with first breaking the 2008 Brunello scandal.

He is a columnist for The Oregonian, was a columnist for The New York Sun before its demise in 2008, and previously for Los Angeles Times, and since 1985 is a regular contributor to Wine Spectator. He has been described as "perhaps the most un-American of all America's wine writers", by Mike Steinberger as "one of the more insightful and entertaining wine writers around", and by Hugh Johnson as "an intellectual guerrilla among wine writers".
Robin Goldstein is an American author, food and wine critic, and economics pundit. He is known for his books and articles questioning conventional wisdom and pricing in the food and wine industries, particularly a widely publicized exposé of Wine Spectator magazine, and for his writing on the Freakonomics blog. He is author of several books, including The Wine Trials and The Beer Trials. Goldstein was also one of the subjects of Think Like a Freak, the 2014 book by Freakonomics authors Steven Levitt and Stephen Dubner.
