U Sports is the national sport governing body of university sport in Canada, comprising the majority of degree-granting universities in the country. Its equivalent body for organized sports at colleges in Canada is the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA). Some institutions are members of both bodies for different sports.
The Florida Institute of Technology is a private research university in Melbourne, Florida. The university comprises four academic colleges: Engineering & Science, Aeronautics, Psychology & Liberal Arts, and Business. Approximately half of FIT's students are enrolled in the College of Engineering & Science. Thomas Kelly Gilbert is an American professional ice hockey defenseman. He is currently an unrestricted free agent who most recently played under contract with the Nürnberg Ice Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL). Gilbert played 655 regular season games in the National Hockey League (NHL). He has played in the NHL for five teams over parts of 12 seasons for the Edmonton Oilers, Minnesota Wild, Florida Panthers, Montreal Canadiens and Los Angeles Kings.
Samuel Jacob Bradford is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons, most notably with the St. Louis Rams and Minnesota Vikings. He was also a member of the Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals. Bradford attended Putnam City North High School in Oklahoma City, where he starred in football, basketball and golf. As a senior quarterback in 2005, he threw for 2,029 yards and 17 touchdowns in 12 games. Bradford was not highly recruited coming out of high school, but he did receive a scholarship offer from the University of Oklahoma, which he accepted. After a redshirt season in 2006, Bradford threw for 3,121 yards and 36 touchdowns as a redshirt freshman. In 2008, Bradford became only the second sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy as he led the highest-scoring offense in NCAA history, passing for 4,720 yards with 50 touchdowns and just eight interceptions. He again led the nation in passing and also added five rushing touchdowns as the Sooners went 12-1 and advanced to the BCS national title game.
Thomas Fitzgerald Stone is the head coach of the Texas Tech women's soccer team. He played and coached soccer at the youth, collegiate and professional levels. Stone, a former graduate of Duke University and member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, held various coaching positions before coming to Tech.
Thomas J. Davies was an American football player and coach. He played as a halfback at the University of Pittsburgh and was a consensus All-American in 1918 and 1920. After retiring as a player, Davies worked as a football coach for the next 26 years, including stints at the University of Pennsylvania, Geneva College, Allegheny College, the University of Rochester, the Carnegie Institute of Technology, the University of Scranton, and Western Reserve University. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a player in 1970.
Daniel Lee Aiken is a former American football long snapper. He was signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2011. He played college football at Virginia after a prep year at Fork Union Military Academy.
Curtis Edward Good is an Australian footballer who plays as a defender for Melbourne City in the A-League. He began his career with the club before signing for Newcastle United in 2012. He subsequently had loan spells with Bradford City – for whom he appeared in the 2013 Football League Cup Final – and Dundee United. After being released by Newcastle, he returned to Melbourne in 2018. Good made his international debut for Australia in 2014 and was in the provisional squad for that year's World Cup, but missed out on selection through injury.
