Tomer Reznik (born in 1990) is an Israeli politician who served as chairman of the Meretz party and was its secretary general from May 2018 until July 2024. He is also the deputy chairman of the Histadrut.
Reznik joined the Meretz party in 2002,and began his political activity in the Meretz Youth. As part of his activities in the Meretz Youth,he also served as the chairman of the organization.
In the years 2013-2017 he was elected on behalf of the Meretz faction to the Histadrut House of Selectmen. Since 2016,he has been working concurrently with his party activities as the secretary of a trade union in the Tel Aviv area of the Histadrut,and is involved in accompanying workers' committees and promoting organizations. Beginning in 2017,he was appointed by the Histadrut chairman at the time,Avi Nissenkorn,as a member of the Histadrut leadership,the youngest in the history of the organization. He continued to serve in the leadership of the organization also under the leadership of chairman Arnon Bar-David. As of the end of December 2021,he also serves as head of the Meretz faction in the Histadrut.
In 2015,he ran for the position of party secretary general for the first time,but lost to Knesset member Mossi Raz. In May 2018,he ran again and was elected to the position of secretary general. In doing so,he became the youngest person in the history of Meretz to serve as the party's secretary general,after being elected at the age of 28. In 2019,Reznik was selected for Forbes Israel magazine's list of the 30 most influential young people under the age of 30. [1]
In April 2024,he was elected by the Meretz Conference for another term as party secretary general. [2]

Tomer is a graduate of undergraduate studies in law at Tel Aviv University and a master's degree in the international master's degree program at the Faculty of Law at Tel Aviv University with a specialization in public law in collaboration with the Law School of Northwestern University in Chicago.
