Tommy Bauro (born 15 August 1965) is a former boxer who competed for the Solomon Islands.

Bauro competed in the 1988 Summer Olympics entering the light-heavyweight, he was knocked out after 2 minutes and 20 seconds by Tongan, Sione Vaveni Taliaʻuli. [1] [2]

Tommy Ingebrigtsen is a Norwegian former ski jumper who competed from 1993 to 2007, representing Byåsen IL in Trondheim. He won the large hill competition at the 1995 Nordic World Ski Championships in Thunder Bay, at the age of seventeen. Ingebrigtsen also competed in two Winter Olympics, earning a bronze in the team large hill event at Turin in 2006. He twice held the world distance record, both set in Planica, with a jump of 219.5 metres on 20 March 1999 and 231 m on 20 March 2005.

Vanuatu competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. A total of three Vanuatuan athletes competed in two sports. Moses Kamut and Elis Lapenmal competed in, respectively, the men's and women's 100m sprints, and Priscilla Tommy competed in women's singles table tennis after being selected by the IOC's Tripartite Commission. Tommy's appearance in particular was Vanuatu's debut into table tennis. Tommy was also the country's flagbearer during the opening ceremony. The Vanuatuan delegation to Beijing included the country's head of state and prime minister, but only included Elis Lapenmal; the other two athletes did not accompany the delegation and arrived in China at different times.

Illinois State Redbirds baseball

The Illinois State Redbirds baseball team is the varsity intercollegiate athletic team of Illinois State University in Normal, IL. The team competes at the Division I level of the NCAA and is a member of the Missouri Valley Conference.

The men's light heavyweight event was part of the boxing programme at the 1988 Summer Olympics. The weight class allowed boxers of up to 81 kilograms to compete. The competition was held from 21 September to 2 October 1988. 26 boxers from 26 nations competed. Andrew Maynard won the gold medal.
