Antonio Stith (born July 26, 1995), known professionally as Tone Stith, is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer signed to RCA Records. [1] [2]

Early life

Stith was born and raised in New Jersey, and raised in a musical family. He began playing the drums at 3 years old, and also learned the piano and guitar. His family encouraged his musical abilities, with his mother helping him learn to sing after overhearing him singing along to a song on a DVD of a Tyler Perry play. [3] He learned how to utilize production software and started pursuing a musical career when he was a teenager. Stith formed the group SJ3 in high school, which attracted the interest of music executive Jas Prince, the driving force behind Drake's early career, when he was in his teens. [3] With Prince's support, Stith began a solo career. [1]

Career

Tone Stith is known for co-writing Chris Brown's 2015 platinum single "Liquor" and the track "Make Love" from the "Royalty" album. On 11 July 2017, Stith released his debut album "Can We Talk" while he was co-signed by Drake. [4] In 2022, Stith performed on stage at SXSW, Rolling Stone and Meta Creator House. [5] [6]

On 8 September 2023, Stith released an extended play under RCA Records titled P.O.V. [7] [8] Stith has worked with notable acts including 2 Chainz, Ty Dolla Sign, H.E.R., Quavo, Swae Lee, Bryson Tiller and more. [9] [10] His single "Girls Like You" peaked at No. 6 on Billboard R&B Charts. [11] [12]

In 2021, Tone Stith performed at the BET Awards 2021 [13] and Victoria Monét's The Jaguar Tour as a supporting act in 2023. [14] He was nominated for the Best New Artist at the 2021 Soul Train Music Awards. [15]

"Girls Need Love" is a song by American singer Summer Walker from her debut commercial mixtape, Last Day of Summer (2018). It was released as the album's lead single on July 26, 2018. It received a remix version from Drake in February 2019, and then an extended play in October 2023 titled Girls Need Love (Girls Mix), with remixes from singers Victoria Monét, Tyla, and Tink.

"Outta Time" is a song by American singer Bryson Tiller featuring Canadian-American musician Drake, from Tiller's third studio album, Anniversary. Produced by frequent Drake collaborators Vinylz, Nineteen85 and 40, the song samples Snoh Aalegra's "Fool for You" and finds the artists reflecting on their respective relationships. Drake is the first featured artist to appear on any of Tiller's studio albums. The song was sent to US urban radio on October 20, 2020, as the third single from Anniversary.
