Anthony Dirk Barron (born August 17,1966) is a former Major League Baseball player. Drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 7th round of the 1987 Major League Baseball draft. Barron played for the Montreal Expos in 1995 as a replacement player. He made the full roster the next season to play the following year in 1996,and later the Philadelphia Phillies in 1997.

Steven Lynn Chilcott is an American former professional baseball player. He played in minor league baseball as a catcher from 1966 to 1972. Danny Kay Goodwin is an American former professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a first baseman and designated hitter from 1975 to 1982. He also played in the Nippon Professional Baseball league with the Nankai Hawks in 1986. Goodwin is the only baseball player to be drafted first overall in the Major League draft in two separate drafts.

The 1977 Los Angeles Dodgers season saw Tommy Lasorda in his first full season at the helm of the Dodgers, replacing longtime manager Walter Alston as Manager of the team near the end of the previous season. The Dodgers won the National League West by 10 games and defeated the Philadelphia Phillies in four games in the NLCS, then lost to the New York Yankees in the World Series. This edition of the Dodgers featured the first quartet of teammates that hit 30 or more home runs: Steve Garvey with 33, Reggie Smith with 32, and Dusty Baker and Ron Cey, who both hit 30. The Dodgers duplicated this feat again 20 years later in 1997.

Kevin Smith is an American professional baseball shortstop for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2021 with the Toronto Blue Jays.
Marcus T. Hallberg is an American professional baseball third base coach for the San Francisco Giants. A former infielder, he batted .455 in his high school career. During his junior and senior seasons in high school, Hallberg did not strike out once. He then batted .362 in his three-year college career. In 2006, he was the toughest batter in the NCAA to strike out, at once every 36 at bats. The Arizona Diamondbacks selected Hallberg in the ninth round of the 2007 MLB draft. He played five seasons in the minor leagues, before turning to coaching and managing.
