Tony Camin is an American standup comedian and television writer living in New York City. [1]
Camin currently performs at comedy clubs throughout the United States. He has appeared at the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival, the Just for Laughs Festival, Bumbershoot as well as on Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
Camin is co-creator of The Marijuana-Logues, [2] [3] an Off-Broadway comedy show he wrote and performed along with Arj Barker and Doug Benson with a year-long run at The Actors Playhouse in New York City.
Camin co-hosted a live late-night talk show called "Broin' Out" [4] at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York in 2006-2007.
Camin wrote for the television show Web Junk 20 and was part of the famously embattled staff of The Mike O'Malley Show. [5]
Camin made his first foray into performing as an on-air personality at the Bay Area college radio station KFJC. In the '90s, he began performing comedy at the small but influential San Francisco venue, the Holy City Zoo. While in San Francisco he lived for a time in the iconic San Francisco Comedy Condo. Camin eventually moved to Los Angeles to pursue television writing along with standup.

Alternative comedy is a term coined in the 1980s for a style of comedy that makes a conscious break with the mainstream comedic style of an era. The phrase has had different connotations in different contexts: in the UK, it was used to describe content that was an "alternative" to the mainstream stand-up of the day which took place in working men's clubs, and was characterised by unoriginal gags often containing elements of sexism and racism. In other contexts, it is the nature of the form that is "alternative", avoiding reliance on a standardised structure of a sequence of jokes with punch lines. Patton Oswalt has defined it as "comedy where the audience has no pre-set expectations about the crowd, and vice versa. In comedy clubs, there tends to be a certain vibe—alternative comedy explores different types of material."
Puppetry of the Penis is a comedic live performance-art show featuring a series of genital contortions. The show was initially conceived as the title of a highbrow art calendar released by Australian Simon Morley in 1996. The calendar showcased twelve penis "installations". In response to increasing requests for live demonstrations, in 1997 Morley enlisted fellow Australian, David "Friendy" Friend, to devise a performance show consisting of body-based genital comedy.

Dhaya Lakshminarayanan is an American comedian, performance artist, TV host, and storyteller. She has performed at venues such as San Francisco's Asian Art Museum, the San Jose Museum of Art, the Siren Theater, San Francisco's Punchline Comedy Club and Cobb's Comedy Club, the Brava Theatre, Throckmorton Theatre, and others. She has also performed at comedy festivals such as SF Sketchfest 2015 and SF Sketchfest 2020; the Desi Comedy Fest, America's only South Asian comedy festival; and the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival. In 2019, Lakshminarayanan, Will Durst, and W. Kamau Bell appeared as guests on KQED in regard to the controversial proposed closure of the historic San Francisco Punchline Comedy Club. The same year, she regularly opened for Greg Proops at the Punchline.
