Tony Anthony Johnson (born September 21, 1991) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball at Lafayette, and signed with SPM Shoeters Den Bosch after going undrafted in the 2013 NBA draft. He also played for Fuerza Regia de Monterrey.

Early life and high school

Johnson grew up in Folsom, California and attended Folsom High School to play basketball. In a game against Monte Vista High School on March 13, 2009, Johnson recorded 9 points in the 63–42 loss. [1] The team also had a 29-game win streak, and it was ended that game. Johnson received a honorable mention for the 2009 California Boys' Basketball All-State Team. [2]

The Patriot League Men's Basketball Player of the Year is an award given to the Patriot League's most outstanding player. They finished the season 25–9, 14–4 in Patriot League play to win the Patriot League regular season championship. The Leopards, led by first-year head coach Mike Jordan, played their home games at the Kirby Sports Center in Easton, Pennsylvania as members of the Patriot League. They finished the season 11–23, 7–11 in Patriot League play to finish in a four-way tie for sixth place. As the No. 6 seed in the Patriot League tournament, they defeated Lehigh and American to advance to the tournament championship for the first time since 2015. There they lost to Colgate.

The 2024 Patriot League Men's Basketball Tournament will be the conference postseason tournament for the Patriot League. The tournament will be held March 5–13, 2024 at campus sites of the higher seeds. The winner will receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
