Nicolás Javier López Fernández is a Chilean film director, producer and screenwriter. He is known for comedies such as Promedio Rojo (2004), the Qué pena trilogy (2010-2012), and the Paz Bascuñán vehicles Sin filtro (2016) and No estoy loca (2018). In june 2018, a few months after López begun working on a film project about the MeToo movement, the magazine Sábado of El Mercurio published a report where various actresses made claims of sexual and workplace abuses against him. In an ensuing trial, López was in 2022 found guilty of two sexual abuse charges and sentenced to five years and one day in prison.

Foro Penal is a Venezuelan human rights organization that provides legal assistance pro bono to people subject of arbitrary detentions and their relatives. The organization is composed of regional coordinators for each state in Venezuela, pro bono lawyers on a national level and a network of over five thousand volunteers, non-lawyer activists, known as "active defensors".
Calibre 50 is a Regional Mexican band founded in the city of Mazatlán, Sinaloa in 2010. Their style is Norteño-Banda, a hybrid of Norteño, which uses an electric bass or tololoche for the low notes and replaces it with a sousaphone (tuba), which is typically used in Banda for the bass notes.

Marco Antonio Órdenes Fernández is a native of Chile and a former prelate of the Catholic Church. He was Bishop of Iquique from 2006 to 2012. When appointed at the age of 42, he was the youngest bishop in the history of Chile. Accusations that he had sexually abused minors forced his resignation in 2012. Civil procedures concluded when prosecutors could not establish a case against him, but church proceedings ended with his removal from the clerical state in 2018.

The last census held in Argentina, in 2010, registered only 6,000 Venezuelan migrants living in the country.
