Tony Maestracci is a Venezuelan musician and former drummer of the Venezuelan rock band Tomates Fritos for fourteen years. [1]

In 2013 he participated in the concert Locos Por La Paz (Crazy for the Peace) in the BOD Cultural Center, in Caracas, where the National Network of Youth and Children Orchestras, Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, Rock & MAU and other musicians played together. [2]

In April 2021 several allegations of sexual abuse were made public against musicians and artists in Venezuela, including Maestracci. Tony responded to the allegations, denying them. [3] Afterwards, Tomates Fritos informed about the resignation of the drummer. [4] [5]

On 28 April, the Public Ministry of Venezuela announced that it would open an investigation against Maestracci for the allegations of sexual abuse, along with fellow musician Alejandro Sojo and poet Willy Mckey. [6]

On 25 May the Public Ministry issued an arrest warrant against both Tony Maestracci and Sojo. [7]

Nicolás Javier López Fernández is a Chilean film director, producer and screenwriter. He is known for comedies such as Promedio Rojo (2004), the Qué pena trilogy (2010-2012), and the Paz Bascuñán vehicles Sin filtro (2016) and No estoy loca (2018). In june 2018, a few months after López begun working on a film project about the MeToo movement, the magazine Sábado of El Mercurio published a report where various actresses made claims of sexual and workplace abuses against him. In an ensuing trial, López was in 2022 found guilty of two sexual abuse charges and sentenced to five years and one day in prison.

Marco Antonio Órdenes Fernández is a native of Chile and a former prelate of the Catholic Church. He was Bishop of Iquique from 2006 to 2012. When appointed at the age of 42, he was the youngest bishop in the history of Chile. Accusations that he had sexually abused minors forced his resignation in 2012. Civil procedures concluded when prosecutors could not establish a case against him, but church proceedings ended with his removal from the clerical state in 2018.

2021 Apure clashes

The Altiplano town of Colchane along the border with Bolivia has been the irregular point of entry of an estimate of 18,000 Venezuelan migrants and about 3,000 Bolivian migrants up to September.

Venezuelan Argentines
