Indie Hoy is an Argentine online publication launched in 2008 and based in Buenos Aires. It publishes daily reviews, news and interviews that mainly focuses on music, also including other forms of popular culture.
Indie Hoy was launched in 2008 and is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. [1] The site has been considered a "benchmark of the Argentine independent scene". [2] In October 2018—in celebration of the ten years since its launch—Indie Hoy organized a music festival at Fundación Konex's venue Ciudad Cultural Konex, with a line-up made up of Louta, Peces Raros, Gativideo, Marina Fages, El Príncipe Idiota, and Tani and Lucia Tachetti. In 2019, Indie Hoy was a member of the Epica Awards jury. [4]
Since September 2020, Indie Hoy has been part of Faro, an "alliance of Ibero-American musical and cultural media", along with other publications such as Mondosonoro and Zona de Obras . [5] [6]
In 2021, Indie Hoy was nominated for the "Best Graphic Media" award (Spanish: "Mejor medio gráfico") in the first installment of the Latin Plug Awards . [7]

Luis Ovsejevich is an Argentine lawyer and businessman, founder and president of the Konex Foundation, from its creation in 1980. Through it the Konex Awards have been granted annually since 1980 to personalities and institutions standing out for his, her or its achievements in 10 different fields. He made various cultural contributions, such as "Let´s go to the Music" since 1991, which consist in operas, ballets, concerts, tango and comedy adapted specially for children; he decided to open Konex Cultural City in 2005, it is a space where all type of cultural expressions coexist with the objective to contribute to the cultural and artistic enrichment of the community; since 2015 he produce the Konex Festival of Classical Music in Ciudad Cultural Konex.
Tren Loco is an Argentinian heavy metal band formed in the suburban town of Grand Bourg, in Buenos Aires Province. Luz also known as Luz: The Flower of Evil or Luz, la flor del mal is a 2019 fantasy-western horror film written and directed by Juan Diego Escobar Alzate starring Yuri Vargas. The film is an international co-production between 10 countries: Mexico, Colombia, Spain, Canada, The United States, United Kingdom, Taiwan, Argentina, Paraguay and Costa Rica. In October 2019 it was part of Official Fantastic Competition at the SITGES Fantastic Film Festival in Spain. The film has been selected in numerous international film festivals like Glasgow Film Festival, Nocturna Madrid, Almería Western Film Festival, Montevideo Fantastic, Fantaspoa, Peruvian Insólito, Sombra and Buenos Aires Rojo Sangre in which the film was winner for best Iberoamerican film, Best Photography, Best editing, Best acting for Yuri Vargas. Luz: The Flower of Evil also won the Silver Skull Award at the Morbido Film Fest in Mexico, where it had its Latin American Premiere.
Silvia Rivas is an Argentine visual artist known for her multi-channel video installations. In Latin America she is considered a precursor in the area of expanded video. Her work is characterized by the crossing of materialities and technologies in which she uses both electronic devices and ancestral techniques. Her production is organized in thematic series of video installations, drawings, photographs or objects. Interested in revealing the metaphorical power of different materialities, she uses the electronic medium and the moving image to record stillness, the imminent and the subjective perception of time.

María Hortensia Lacau was an Argentine pedagogue, writer, essayist, poet, and teacher. Dedicated to teaching and pedagogy, she was a teacher at the secondary, tertiary and university levels. She taught at Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires and Escuela Superior de Comercio Carlos Pellegrini among other institutions. Lacau gave the chaired "Commentary on Texts" in the entrance courses of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Buenos Aires. She is the co-author of the "Lacau-Rosetti" Spanish Manuals with which several generations of Argentines studied Spanish and literature. She was a recipient of the Konex Award and the Illustrious Citizen of Buenos Aires award.
