On weekdays, it aired on a tape-delay in the Central and Mountain Time Zones; stations in the Pacific, Alaska and Hawaii Time Zones received an updated feed with a specialized opening and updated live reports. Stations outside the Eastern Time Zone carried the Saturday broadcast at varied times. The two incarnations of CTM were the eighth and tenth distinct morning news-features program formats to air on CBS since 1954. On November 1, 1999, the original incarnation was replaced by The Early Show, which was replaced by the second one on January 9, 2012.
