NTV is owned by International Television Channel Limited, with Mosaddek Ali Falu, a businessman and former vice president of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, being the channel's chairman.
ATN Bangla, 'ATN' being the acronym of the unused Asian Television Network, is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable television channel owned by Multimedia Production Company. It is based in the Kawran Bazar neighborhood of Dhaka. ATN Bangla is the first privately owned television channel and the first to broadcast on satellite in Bangladesh. The channel began broadcasting on 15 July 1997. ATN Bangla is broadcast in over 130 countries worldwide.
RTV is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable television channel owned by Bengal Media Corporation. It is headquartered in the BSEC Building in Kawran Bazar, Dhaka. RTV began broadcasting on 26 December 2005 as a sister channel of NTV, and primarily airs entertainment and news programming. It is one of Bangladesh's most popular television channels, according to TRP reports.

"Notuner Gan", more popularly known by its incipit as "Chol Chol Chol", is the national march of Bangladesh, whose lyrics and tune were written by national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam in 1928. It was first published in the newspaper Shikha with the title Notuner Gaan and was later included in Nazrul's book Shondha. The Bangladeshi government adopted this song as the national marching song of Bangladesh on 13 January 1972 in its first meeting after the country's independence. The first lines of the song are played at most military ceremonies or functions. The Daily Star has referred to it as the national military song. It was proposed for the national anthem of Bangladesh in 1975.
The Bangladesh Secretariat, also known as Bangladesh Sachibalaya or Old Secretariat, is the administrative headquarters of the Government of Bangladesh, and houses the majority of ministries and government agencies and bodies, located in Segunbagicha, Dhaka. The secretariat can refer to the complex of ministries, or refer to the Bangladesh Civil Service central administration. Its political heads are the ministers while the administrative heads are the Secretaries to the Government. The Secretariat complex was originally constructed as the Secretariat of East Pakistan.
On 20 February 2019, a fire broke out in Dhaka, Bangladesh following a road accident between a pickup van and a private car. After the collision, the car's gas cylinder exploded. The fire then spread to a group of nearby buildings being used to store chemicals, and quickly spread in the densely packed historic district of Chowk Bazaar in Old Dhaka. The fire left at least 80 people dead and 50 others injured.
New Dhaka, is an unofficial term used to describe the area located north of Old Dhaka that has been incorporated in the city of Dhaka, the capital and largest city of Bangladesh, over time. The term is ambiguous, as it may refer either to upscale and/or planned neighbourhoods with wider streets, modern buildings, and improved facilities, or to the city of Dhaka excluding the Old Dhaka region.
