A poker player is drawing if they have a hand that is incomplete and needs further cards to become valuable. The hand itself is called a draw or drawing hand. For example, in seven-card stud, if four of a player's first five cards are all spades, but the hand is otherwise weak, they are drawing to a flush. In contrast, a made hand already has value and does not necessarily need to draw to win. A made starting hand with no help can lose to an inferior starting hand with a favorable draw. If an opponent has a made hand that will beat the player's draw, then the player is drawing dead; even if they make their desired hand, they will lose. Not only draws benefit from additional cards; many made hands can be improved by catching an out — and may have to in order to win.

He is one of the most prolific and critically acclaimed hip hop producers of the 2000s and has collaborated with different hip hop artists, under a variety of pseudonyms, including with MF DOOM, as well as J Dilla. Madlib has described himself as a "DJ first, producer second, and MC last," and he has done several projects as a DJ, mixer, or remixer.
Quasimoto is a side project of hip hop producer Madlib, from Oxnard, California. Quasimoto is composed of Madlib and his animated alter ego Lord Quas, known for his high pitched, comedic voice, which sounds as if he has inhaled helium. Lord Quas is an exaggerated caricature of a gangster rapper, with lyrical subjects frequently including references to violence and drug use, and he has been seen as a parody of the content of typical hip-hop music. Another notable characteristic of Quasimoto's sound is the interplay between Quas' voice and Madlib's voice. Quasimoto was conceived one day in the studio, when Madlib decided to rap to his own beats. Madlib did not like the sound of his voice so he decided to slow his recorder down, rap slowly, then speed the recording back up to produce Lord Quas' distinctive high pitched sound.
"Shady Lane" is a song by Pavement that appears on the band's album Brighten the Corners. It was also released as a two-part single and as an EP, which collects the B-sides from both the British singles. The single was accompanied by a promotional video directed by Spike Jonze. "Shady Lane" would become a top 40 hit in the UK for the band.

The Church Within is the third album by The Obsessed. It was released in 1994 by Columbia Records and Hellhound Records, and was their final album before their 16-year breakup, from 1995 to 2011. The back reads "No Love Stronger/No Pain Greater/No Hate Deeper/The Church Within". Columbia released two singles to support this album, "Streetside"/"Blind Lightning" and "To Protect and to Serve"/"Mental Kingdom". This album was reissued on CD and 2LP in 2013 on Real Gone Music with unseen photos, liner notes and two bonus tracks from the same sessions in 1994.
