Touchstone Game Reserve is a privately owned 100,000 Hectare game farm that is situated in the north-western section of the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve in the Limpopo province of South Africa. [1]

The Waterberg is a mountainous massif of approximately 654,033 hectare in north Limpopo Province, South Africa. The average height of the mountain range is 600 m with a few peaks rising up to 2000 m above sea level. Vaalwater town is located just north of the mountain range. The extensive rock formation was shaped by hundreds of millions of years of riverine erosion to yield diverse bluff and butte landform. The ecosystem can be characterised as a dry deciduous forest or Bushveld. Within the Waterberg there are archaeological finds dating to the Stone Age, and nearby are early evolutionary finds related to the origin of humans.

Mapungubwe National Park is a national park in the Limpopo Province, South Africa. The park protects the historical site of Mapungubwe Hill, which was the capital of the Kingdom of Mapungubwe, as well as the wildlife and riverine forests along the Limpopo River. The Mapungubwe Hill was the site of a community dating back to the Iron Age. Evidence has shown that it was a prosperous community. Archaeologists also uncovered the famous Golden Rhinoceros of Mapungubwe figurine from the site.

Atherstone Nature Reserve, also known as the Atherstone Collaborative Nature Reserve, is a 23,500 hectare reserve situated close to Dwaalboom, in the Limpopo, province in South Africa. The reserve consists mainly of vast savannah plains with bushveld and Kalahari grasslands ecosystems. Besides antelopes, zebras and giraffes, the south-central black rhinoceros and African bush elephants are one of the highlights of Atherstone.

Mkhombo Nature Reserve is a protected area in Mpumalanga, South Africa. It is a large, 11,223 ha reserve which conserves an easterly Kalahari thornveld environment around the shores of a Mkhombo dam. The reserve has typical Highlands grassland with a network of wetlands and rocky outcrops.

Mabalingwe Nature Reserve, is located 38 km west of Bela Bela, in the Limpopo province of South Africa, and is about 12,000 hectare in area. It is in an easily accessible, malaria-free area of the Transvaal bushveld, around an hour-and-a-half drive from Johannesburg.

Kapama Game Reserve is a 13,000 hectare privately owned nature reserve in the Limpopo province of South Africa. It was founded by Johann Roode, who initially bought the land for cattle grazing but realized that the local ecosystem needed to be maintained. He soon started to develop the area as a touristic region and the reserve still belong nowadays to the Roode family.

Klaserie Game Reserve is adjacent to the Kruger Park and the Timbavati Game Reserve, in the Limpopo province of South Africa. It has an area of about 60,000 ha and the Klaserie River runs through the park.

Londolozi Private Game Reserve is a large game reserve, with 15 000 hectares ; 42 000 acres; 58 sq mi) of land in northeastern South Africa. This means 1 bed per 167 hectares of land. Londolozi Rangers are not bound by Kruger Park rules and can therefore drive off-road on safari and conduct comprehensive bush walks into the wilderness. The reserve is part of the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, situated on the western border of Kruger National Park, which together with some other parks make up the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Park. Londolozi is a Zulu word meaning "Protector of all Living Things". Wildlife in this reserve includes the Big Five of Africa.

Ulusaba Private Game Reserve, owned by Sir Richard Branson as part of the Virgin Limited Edition luxury property portfolio, consists of about 13,500 ha of land set in the heart of the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve. This private game reserve borders on the sprawling Kruger National Park in South Africa's Mpumalanga province and is home to an abundance of wildlife. Ulusaba means fearful in the local Tsonga (Shangaan) language and it was a name given to the Sabie River by the Shangaan people. The Sabie River was originally called Ulusaba by the Shangaan simply because there was once a large concentration of dangerous Nile crocodile in the river. Before the establishment of the Kruger National Park, Ulusaba was once a home of Tsonga-Shangaan people, the Shangaan were evicted from this land when the Kruger National Park was established and were relocated in nearby villages adjacent Ulusaba Private Game Reserve.

Moditlo Private Game Reserve forms an integral part of the 10 000 hectare Blue Canyon Private Game Reserve, located near Hoedspruit, Limpopo Province, South Africa. The reserve borders Kapama Game Reserve to the eastern side, the Drakensberg Mountains forms the backdrop to the west, and falls into the southern/central region of the Greater Kruger Park biosphere. The size of the Blue Canyon Conservancy has now reached 36,000 acres in total, and is home to typical African game such as lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos, cheetahs, hippos and several hundreds of bird species typical to the lowveld in South Africa. The reserve is also home to a pack of wild dogs, which is the second rarest carnivore species in Africa with only an estimated 2000 remaining specimen in existence.

Limpopo Valley Airfield is an airport serving the Northern Tuli Game Reserve, an area of public and private game reserves in eastern Botswana. The airport is owned by Mashatu Game Reserve with a superseded ICAO code of FBLV.

The Care For Wild Rhino Sanctuary is the largest rhino sanctuary in the world, spanning 28,000 hectares in the greater Barberton Nature Reserve in Mpumalanga, South Africa. The exact location of the sanctuary is not disclosed for security reasons. Opened in 2001 by its founder, Petronel Nieuwoudt, it was started to provide care and rehabilitation to a wide range of animals, especially the critically endangered black rhinoceros and white rhinoceros, whose numbers continue to decline due to rhino poaching.
