Tower is the twenty-fifth album by the Finnish experimental rock band Circle. It was recorded in collaboration with Mika Rintala, who appears here under the alias Verde.
Members of Circle have been regular guests on Rintala's albums as Verde, often released on Jussi Lehtisalo's Ektro Records imprint.[ citation needed ] Here Rintala repays the favour on a collection of six keyboard-led instrumentals, occasionally reminiscent of Bitches Brew era Miles Davis. The tracks' names are the surname of a member of the group, including the sound engineer Tuomas Laurila, with the first letter replaced by a G.
Turisas is a Finnish metal band from Hämeenlinna. They were founded in 1997 by Mathias Nygård and Jussi Wickström, and named after an ancient Finnish god of war.
Magyar Posse was a Finnish post-rock band established in 2000 in the city of Pori. They have been praised by critics since their first album. Their second album achieved Top 40 status in Finland. They have toured frequently in Europe. Their first music video 'Whirlpool of Terror and Tension' (2006) won two awards in the Oulu Music Video Festival and a Kultainen Muuvi, the grand prize for Finnish music videos.
Circle is a Finnish experimental rock band formed in Pori in 1991. Their eclectic, ever-changing style has been associated with genres such as krautrock, heavy metal, progressive rock, and ambient. On some albums they have defined themselves as New Wave of Finnish Heavy Metal (NWOFHM).
Prospekt is the ninth album by the Finnish experimental rock band Circle, first released on CD in 2000 by Ektro Records. It was re-released as a double LP by Static Resonance in 2002. The D-side of the re-issue contains the live track "Työläisten laulu" from a show at Jyväskylä, Finland, on September 11, 2001. It was re-issued again as a CD in 2011 by the Brazilian label Essence Records, including the extra track, and presented in a gatefold sleeve replicating the vinyl version in miniature.

Tulikoira is the nineteenth album recorded by the Finnish experimental rock band Circle. Released on CD in 2005 by Ektro Records, the album has the band incorporating elements of both drone music and black metal into the krautrock sound of previous albums like Prospekt. Proclaiming themselves the "New Wave of Finnish Heavy Metal", in honour of the new wave of British heavy metal movement, Circle here made explicit their long-held love of 1970s and 1980s heavy metal music. A re-release by Headspin Records in 2007 has a bonus 7" containing material from the band's Earthworm EP recorded with the American singer Bruce Duff. Both songs were re-released on the 2008 album Hollywood which also has Duff on vocals.
Panic is the twenty-sixth album by the Finnish experimental rock band Circle.
Pharaoh Overlord is an experimental rock music band, initially featuring three members of the Finnish group Circle, Jussi Lehtisalo, Janne Westerlund and Tomi Leppänen. Originally begun as a vehicle to indulge their love of stoner rock, Pharaoh Overlord's output has become more varied, mirroring the development of their sister group. Their 2007 album Live In Suomi Finland features contributions from krautrock pioneer Hans Joachim Irmler. Julius Jääskeläinen and Pekka Jääskeläinen also appear on that recording, and have played regularly with the band since both in performance and in the studio. Since the 2019 release 5, the band has been a duo consisting of Lehtisalo and Leppänen. The 2020 album 6 also features vocals by Aaron Turner.
Jussi Lehtisalo is a Finnish bassist. In 1991, he founded Circle, a prolific band drawing influences from heavy metal and krautrock to develop a style of repetitive experimental rock. He also runs a record label, Ektro Records, releasing his own music alongside left field rock and metal releases by artists such as Faust and Acid Mothers Temple.

Rakkaus tulessa is the thirty-eighth album by Finnish experimental rock band Circle, a collaboration with Finnish electronic music pioneer Erkki Kurenniemi. The album was released in July 2011 to coincide with Kurenniemi's seventieth birthday. The vinyl-only album marries together two recordings - vocals by Kurenniemi recorded in 1972, and Krautrock-style music by Circle from 1999. The two elements were subsequently "mashed-up" by Circle bassist and bandleader Jussi Lehtisalo and longtime Circle sound engineer Tuomas Laurila. The album was co-produced by filmmaker Mika Taanila who in 2002 made a documentary film on Kurenniemi, called The Future Is Not What It Used To Be.
