Beavis and Butt-Head is an American adult animated sitcom created by Mike Judge. The series follows Beavis and Butt-Head, both voiced by Judge, a pair of teenage slackers characterized by their apathy, lack of intelligence, lowbrow humor and love for hard rock and heavy metal. The original series juxtaposes slice-of-life short subjects—in which the teens embark on low-minded misadventures in their Texas town—with the pair watching and commenting on music videos.

Daria Morgendorffer is a fictional character and the eponymous main protagonist of the MTV adult animated series Daria, which originally aired from March 1997 to January 2002. She was initially designed and created by Beavis and Butt-Head staff writer David Felton as a supporting character, serving as an intelligent foil to the two main characters. Eventually, MTV sought to make an animated show catered more to female viewers, and thus Glenn Eichler and Susie Lewis Lynn co-developed Daria. She was voiced in both productions by Tracy Grandstaff.

Glenn Eichler is an American comedy writer. He is best known for co-creating the MTV adult animated series Daria, which originally aired from 1997 to 2002. Eichler started out as an editor for National Lampoon magazine. He then worked as story editor for the MTV television shows Beavis and Butt-head and The Maxx. Apart from Daria, Eichler also produced Hey Joel for VH1. He has also written for such shows as Rugrats, Bratz, Married... with Children, and The Wrong Coast, a stop-action animation mini-series for the American Movie Classics cable channel. He currently writes for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on CBS after also writing for Stephen Colbert in Comedy Central's The Colbert Report.
MTV Animation is the animation department of the television network MTV. The department's parent company is MTV Entertainment Studios, which is owned by Paramount Global. MTV Animation gained substantial popularity in the 1990s, with many of their largest successes including the original broadcasts of Liquid Television (1991–1995), Beavis and Butt-Head (1993–1997), Daria (1997–2002), and Celebrity Deathmatch (1998–2007). Of the animated shows that aired, Beavis and Butt-Head and Daria ended up being the most successful, with both shows developing a cult following.

Is It Fall Yet? is a 2000 American animated comedy-drama television film written by Glenn Eichler and Peggy Nicoll, and directed by Karen Disher and Guy Moore. Originally broadcast on August 27, 2000, it was the first of two film-length installments for MTV's animated series Daria.

The film was the second film-length installment of MTV's animated series Daria, after 2000's Is it Fall Yet?, and served as the series finale, chronicling the end of high school as the characters prepare for college.

Daria's Inferno is a 2000 PC video game developed by Hypnotix and published by Simon & Schuster Interactive. The game is based on the MTV animated show Daria. Players control the character Daria Morgendorffer through the fictional town of Lawndale. Characters in the game are voiced by the same voice actors as on the TV show. The game is the only media ever to feature the TV series' entire theme song, "You're Standing on My Neck" by Splendora, only one verse of which is ever heard on the show.
MTV Unplugged is an extended play (EP) and live album by American singer Katy Perry, released in the United States on November 13, 2009, by Capitol Records. After airing more than 100 MTV Unplugged specials, MTV wanted to bring back the series, in order to expose them to a younger generation. The channel recruited various mainstream and popular artists to perform as part of the series, including Perry, who particularly expressed interest in the idea as it would allow her to showcase herself as an artist and share the stories behind her songs.
Hit-Girl is an antihero appearing in the Millarworld shared fictional universe, published by Marvel Comics under the company's imprint Icon Comics and later Image Comics, one of the titular characters of the Hit-Girl & Kick-Ass franchise. The character was created by artist John Romita Jr. and writer Mark Millar. She is a young and effective vigilante, trained by her father Damon McCready from an early age to be a costumed superhero and assassin, introduced in Kick-Ass – The Dave Lizewski Years as a supporting character and ultimate co-protagonist, along with Dave Lizewski. She featured in her own self-titled comic book series, Hit-Girl, published from 2018 to 2020 by Image Comics. Susie Lewis is an American writer and producer. She is best known for co-creating and producing the first three seasons of the MTV adult animated series Daria, which originally aired from March 1997 to January 2002.
