Travis "Taco" Bennett (born May 16, 1994) is an American actor, rapper, DJ, and member of the music collective Odd Future. [2] [3] He gained recognition under the alias Taco during his tenure with Odd Future and later transitioned into acting, known for his role as Elz in the FXX comedy series Dave .
Travis Bennett was born on May 16, 1994, in California. He is the younger brother of Syd. [4] Growing up, Bennett was into basketball, riding bikes, and video games. He met Tyler, the Creator, real name Tyler Okonma, when Travis was just 12 years old, and Okonma would start recording music at Bennett's house a few years later. In 2007, Bennett joined the music collective Odd Future. [5]
Bennett embarked on his career as a DJ and hype man for the Odd Future collective, contributing to live performances and projects like the Adult Swim series Loiter Squad. [6]
Transitioning from his career with Odd Future, Bennett ventured into acting. He gained recognition for his part as Elz in the FX comedy series Dave , portraying the childhood friend and music producer of the main character, Dave Burd, also known as Lil Dicky. [7] This marked his initial steps into the world of acting. Subsequently, Bennett made an appearance as the son of Eddie Murphy's character in the movie You People. [8]

Tyler Gregory Okonma, known professionally as Tyler, the Creator, is an American rapper, singer, and record producer. He has been cited as an influential figure in alternative hip hop during the 2010s. Okonma became well known in the late 2000s, when he emerged on the internet as the leader and co-founder of the music collective Odd Future. Within the group, Okonma participated as a rapper, producer, director and actor, releasing studio albums that he produced for its respective members. Okonma also performed on his sketch comedy show Loiter Squad (2012–2014).
Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, better known as Odd Future and often abbreviated as OF or OFWGKTA, was an American alternative hip-hop music collective formed in Los Angeles, California in 2007. The group consisted of rappers, producers, filmmakers, skateboarders, and clothing designers. The original members were Tyler, the Creator, Casey Veggies, Hodgy, Left Brain, Matt Martians, Jasper Dolphin, Earl Sweatshirt, Travis "Taco" Bennett, and Syd. Goblin is the second studio album by the American rapper Tyler, the Creator. It was released on May 10, 2011, by XL Recordings. Goblin continues Tyler's dialogues with his fictional therapist Dr. TC, first heard on his 2009 album, Bastard. "Radicals" is a song written, produced, and performed by American rapper Tyler, the Creator, and features as the third song from his debut studio album Goblin. The song sparked controversy due to its lyrical themes, and it would receive even more controversy after a student attending the University of South Alabama wrote the lyrics to the chorus of the song on school property.

Production on the album was primarily handled by Left Brain and Tyler, the Creator, with Frank Ocean, Pyramid Vritra and Matt Martians also receiving production credits. Lyrically the album ranges from being serious to being satirical, with some tracks offering an overly absurdist take on rap.
Sydney Loren Bennett, known professionally as Syd, is an American singer and songwriter. She initially gained recognition as a member of the alternative hip hop collective Odd Future, and went on to co-found the band The Internet in 2011. In 2017, Bennett released her debut solo album Fin, followed by the EP Always Never Home. She released her second album, Broken Hearts Club, in 2022.

Dave is an American television sitcom that premiered on FXX on March 4, 2020. It was co-created by rapper/comedian Dave Burd, who plays the titular character, and Jeff Schaffer. Kevin Hart and Greg Mottola form part of the production team. Lil Dicky's real-life hype man, GaTa, co-stars as himself. On May 11, 2020, the series was renewed for a second season, which premiered on June 16, 2021. On February 17, 2022, FXX renewed the series for a third season, which premiered on April 5, 2023. On February 1, 2024, FX announced that there were no current plans to renew the series while Burd pursues other projects.
