Travis Boyd Harper (born May 21,1976) is a former Major League Baseball player. Harper was a relief pitcher for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays from 2000 to 2006.
Travis Harper attended Circleville High School in Pendleton County,West Virginia. He was an all-state basketball and baseball player in high school. Also,he helped lead the Indians to a state title in baseball during his senior season of 1994. He was named the West Virginia Baseball Player of the Yearby the state's Sports Writers Association. During his career at Circleville,Harper was 27-5,had an earned run average of 0.88,surrendered just 68 hits and struck out 407 in 207 innings pitched. He was drafted by the New York Mets in the 14th round of the 1994 draft,but instead chose to attend James Madison University in nearby Harrisonburg,VA on a baseball scholarship. In three seasons at JMU,Harper finished with a 20-10 record and an earned run average of 4.08. Harper graduated with a Health Sciences Degree. He played with the Harrisonburg (VA) Turks of the Valley League during his college summers. [1]
Harper was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the third round of the 1997 amateur draft. He signed with the Red Sox on July 14,1997. Following a contract dispute with the Red Sox which went to arbitration,he became a free agent on October 29,1997. He then signed with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays on June 28,1998. He made his Major League debut on August 4,2000,against the Baltimore Orioles. Later that season,he tossed a two-hit,complete game shutout against the Toronto Blue Jays. Harper played in seven major league seasons for Tampa Bay. He was released by the Devil Rays on October 31,2006. Harper had career ending shoulder surgery in 2007. [2]

Geremis Segundo González Acosta was a Venezuelan right-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for the Chicago Cubs (1997–1998),Tampa Bay Devil Rays (2003–2004),Boston Red Sox (2005),New York Mets (2006) and Milwaukee Brewers (2006). In his rookie season he led the Cubs with 11 wins,but he was unable to continue that success in later seasons. He was known as Jeremi González until he was traded to the Brewers in 2006,at which time he informed the team of the proper spelling.
Dennis Mark Malaska is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in 2003 and the Boston Red Sox in 2004 in Major League Baseball. Malaska grew up on the south side of Youngstown,Ohio. He attended Cardinal Mooney High School where he earned three varsity letters in both baseball and basketball,earned All-Steel Valley honors in both sports,and was later inducted into the school's athletic Hall of Fame. Malaska was offered several athletic scholarships in both sports as well as several academic scholarships,but chose to continue his baseball career at The University of Akron.

Rey Francisco Guadalupe Sánchez is a Puerto Rican former Major League Baseball infielder. He attended high school in California and was drafted in the 13th round of the 1986 amateur baseball draft by the Texas Rangers. He played in their minor league system until 1990,when he was traded to the Chicago Cubs for minor leaguer Bryan House. In 1991,he broke through to the majors,playing 13 games. He continued to play there,often on a regular basis until August 16,1997,when he was traded to the New York Yankees for minor leaguer Frisco Parotte. He finished the season there,and then started to become a journeyman. He played in a season for the San Francisco Giants,two and a half seasons for the Kansas City Royals,50 games for the Atlanta Braves,and a season for the Boston Red Sox. In 2003,he played 56 and 46 games for the New York Mets and Seattle Mariners,respectively,and moved on to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays for 2004. He became a Yankee for the second time in 2005.
