Treaty Sarsfields was[ when? ] a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club based in the Thomondgate area on the Northside of Limerick city, Ireland. The club participated in competitions organised by Limerick GAA county board.

The Limerick Senior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition contested by the top Limerick GAA clubs. The champions qualify to represent Limerick in the Munster Senior Club Football Championship, the winners of which progress to the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship.
Ahane GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the Ahane, Castleconnell and Montpelier areas of east County Limerick, Republic of Ireland. The club fields teams in both hurling and football and historically is regarded as one of the great clubs of Limerick. Some other class players were the Mackey brothers, Mick and John and Jackie Power among others. In their day, they defeated all-comers in Limerick and in the adjoining counties of Tipperary and Cork whose clubs they successfully challenged in many church tournaments during their greatest period of domination. A few of the Ahane players won the All-Ireland Senior hurling championship in 1934, 1936 and 1940 with Limerick, their leader being the peerless Mick Mackey, regarded as one of Ireland's greatest hurlers of all time. They won 15 Limerick Senior Hurling Championships in the 1930s and 1940s and also won 5 Limerick Senior Football Championships during this era. Their fans can often be heard to use the famous cheer "Come on Ahane the spuds are boiling"
Patrickswell GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the village of Patrickswell in County Limerick, Ireland. The club is almost exclusively concerned with the game of hurling and currently holds the record for most Limerick Senior Hurling Championship wins (20).
South Liberties is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in County Limerick, Ireland. The club is based in the parish of Donoughmore-Knockea-Roxboro, on the southern outskirts of Limerick City and is affiliated to the East Board of Limerick GAA. It is one of the oldest clubs in the country, founded in 1884, the same year as the GAA. South Liberties' home ground in Ballysheedy is called Dooley Park, in memory of one of the club's greatest players. The club has won many county titles during its history, most notably seven Limerick Senior Hurling Championships; in 1888, 1889, 1890, 1972, 1976, 1978 and 1981. The club currently fields teams in the Senior Hurling and Junior Gaelic football Championships in Limerick.
Doon GAA club is a Gaelic Athletic Association club, founded in 1888. It is based in the village of Doon in County Limerick, Ireland. The club is part of the East Division of the Limerick GAA and has a tremendous record at underage level, but has yet to win a County Senior Hurling Championship. The club only plays hurling, but footballers in the parish play with neighbouring Oola. The manager is Austin Buckley.

Granagh-Ballingarry GAA was formed in 1990 after the merger between Granagh and Ballingarry GAA clubs. Previously, the clubs had been playing together in some competitions.
Glenroe Hurling Club is one of the oldest clubs affiliated to the Gaelic Athletic Association. It plays hurling and formerly gaelic football. It plays in competitions organized by Limerick GAA. Located in the Ballyhoura Mountains, County Limerick, Ireland, local parish teams played hurling games from long before the famine of the 1840 and local teams played before the GAA's foundation.

Na Piarsaigh is a Gaelic Athletic Association club situated on the north side of Limerick City, Ireland. It was founded in 1968. Following their 1–15 to 3–11 victory in the 2014 Limerick Intermediate Football Championship over St Senan's, Na Piarsaigh are one of three dual senior club in hurling and Gaelic football in Limerick. The club currently field five adult teams three in hurling and two in football, the most of any club in Limerick. In 2011, Na Piarsaigh won their first ever Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship. In November 2015, Na Piarsaigh won their third Munster Senior Club Hurling Championship after a 2–18 to 2–11 win against Ballygunner in the final. On St Patrick's Day, 2016 Na Piarsaigh won their first ever All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship beating Ruairí Óg, Cushendall 2–25 to 2–14 in Croke Park, becoming the first ever Limerick club to do so. In November 2016 Na Piarsaigh won the Limerick Junior 'A' County Hurling Championship beating fellow city club St Patrick's 1–16 to 1–12, earning promotion to the Limerick Intermediate Hurling Championship for 2017 and becoming the only club in Limerick to field teams in both the Senior & Intermediate County Hurling Championships.

The Limerick Junior Hurling Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association competition organised by Limerick GAA among the top hurling clubs in County Limerick. The winner qualifies to represent the county in the Munster Junior Club Hurling Championship, the winner of which progresses to the All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship. Apart from a few years when there was an Intermediate hurling Championship the Junior Hurling championship was the second most important hurling competition in Limerick. When the Intermediate hurling Championship restarted in 1988, the Junior became the third most important competition and in 2014 with the advent of the Premier Intermediate hurling Championship it became the Fourth tier of Limerick hurling.
