The Limerick Senior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition contested by the top Limerick GAA clubs. The champions qualify to represent Limerick in the Munster Senior Club Football Championship, the winners of which progress to the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship.

Séamus Callanan is an Irish hurler who plays for Tipperary Senior Championship club Drom & Inch and is a former All-Ireland winning captain of the Tipperary senior hurling team. Often considered one of the best players of the current generation, Callanan has been a four-time nominee for Hurler of the Year, winning the award in 2019, and has won four All-Stars. He has won ten major trophies in his inter-county career, including three All-Ireland Championships, six Munster Championships and one National League. A prolific goalscorer, Callanan holds the Tipperary record for most championship goals scored (40) and is the second-highest goalscorer in championship history. Declan Hannon is an Irish hurler who plays for Limerick Senior Championship club Adare and at inter-county level as captain of the Limerick senior hurling team, whom he captained to the All Ireland hurling title in 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2022 2023 becoming the first Limerick captain since Mick Mackey to captain Limerick to victory twice, and the first hurling captain to lift the Liam MacCarthy Cup a record four times. As well as lifting the Mackey cup in the Munster hurling final six times.He usually lines out as a centre-back.

Dromcollogher/Broadford GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) located in the parish of Dromcollogher-Broadford in County Limerick, Ireland. It is a member of the West Division of Limerick GAA. The club has had some successes in the Limerick Senior Football Championship.Dromcollogher/Broadford was the first Limerick club to win the Munster club senior football championship.

The 2019 Limerick Senior Football Championship is the 123rd edition of the Limerick GAA's premier club Gaelic football tournament for senior clubs in County Limerick, Ireland. 12 teams compete, with the winner representing Limerick in the Munster Senior Club Football Championship. The championship starts with a group stage and then progresses to a knock out stage.
