The Kildare Senior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by Kildare GAA between the top clubs in County Kildare, Ireland. The winners of the Championship qualify to represent their county in the Leinster Club Championship, the winners of which progress to the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. The current (2024) champions are Naas. The most successful club in Kildare is Sarsfields.

The Kildare County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA), or Kildare GAA, is one of 12 county boards governed by the Leinster provincial council of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for the administration of Gaelic games in County Kildare. The Lillie's play in the second tier of county football.
Moorefield is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in the parish of Newbridge County Kildare, Ireland, winner of two Leinster Club Senior Football Championships, ten Senior County Football Championships and three Senior County Hurling Championships.
Kilcock is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club in Kilcock, County Kildare, Ireland. Located on the border with County Meath, Kilcock traditionally draws it players from the village itself as well as the surrounding rural areas of Laragh, Ballycaghan, Clonfert and Belgard. The club has won five Kildare Senior Football Championships, the last such win being in 1958. Kilcock was "Kildare club of the year" in 1982. It is the home club of Davy Dalton Jr., winner of the 1997 All Stars Award.
Ardclough is a Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club in Ardclough, County Kildare, Republic of Ireland, whose biggest achievements include winning the Kildare County Senior Football Championship after a replayed final against the Army in 1949, winning 13 Kildare County Senior Hurling Championships, the latest in 2017 beating Naas in the final, defeating Buffer's Alley in the 1976 Leinster Senior Club Hurling Championship and winning the Leinster Intermediate Club Hurling Championship in 2006. Five Ardclough players featured on the Kildare hurling team of the millennium: Richie Cullen, Tommy Christian, Bobby Burke, Johnny Walsh and Mick Dwane. Bridget Cushen was selected on the Kildare camogie team of the century. Current (2011) Kildare senior hurling panellists are Richie Hoban and Martin Fitzgerald.
The Leinster Senior Football Championship, known simply as the Leinster Championship and shortened to Leinster SFC, is an annual inter-county Gaelic football competition organised by the Leinster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county Gaelic football competition in the province of Leinster, and has been contested every year since the 1888 championship.
The Derry Senior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition contested by the top sixteen Derry GAA clubs. The winners receive the John McLaughlin Cup and qualify to represent Derry in the Ulster Senior Club Football Championship.

The Wicklow Senior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association competition organised by Wicklow GAA between the top Gaelic football clubs in County Wicklow, Ireland. The winner of the Wicklow Championship qualifies to represent their county in the Leinster Senior Club Football Championship, the winner of which progresses to the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. The current (2024) champions are Tinahely, who defeated Baltinglass by 0-16 to 2-09 on October 26th 2024, at the county grounds in Aughrim.
The Leinster Senior Club Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football tournament played on a knockout basis between the senior club championship winners of the competing counties in Leinster. The current holders of the Leinster title are Kilmacud Crokes from Dublin. Offaly side Gracefield were the first winners of the Leinster senior club football championship in the 1970–71 season. The most successful clubs are St. Vincent's, and Kilmacud Crokes from Dublin, and Portlaoise from Laois, who have won the Leinster championship on seven occasions. Carlow club Éire Óg won 5 championships in 7 years in the 1990s. Dublin clubs have won the Leinster championship twenty five times, which is more than triple any other county. The winner of this competition represents Leinster in the semi-finals of the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship.
Sarsfields is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Newbridge in County Kildare, Ireland. The club name is linked to Patrick Sarsfield's castle in the area and the club's colours are green with a white sash. Sarsfields has won 25 Kildare Senior Football Championships, more than any other club in the competition.
The Kildare Junior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition contested by lower-tier Kildare GAA clubs. The winning club plays in the Kildare Intermediate Football Championship in the following year. As of the 2022 season there is an overall Junior Championship winner as well as a Junior A winner. There have been various iterations of the competition, which started in 1906 as the secondary competition to the Kildare Senior Football Championship. In 1928 a Kildare Intermediate Football Championship was started for middle tier teams with the Junior Championship ranking below that. In 1947 the Junior Championship was split into A and B competitions with the winners competing for the overall Junior title. They played for a trophy called the Jack Higgins Cup, named after the former Kildare and Naas great. Reserve teams were allowed to enter the Junior Championship at various stages up until recent years but a Reserve Championship has since been instigated. The Jack Higgins Trophy has not been played since 2019 due to the covid pandemic. The Junior winners receive the Noel Moran Cup, named after the former Kilcock and Kildare player.
The 2018–19 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship was the 49th annual gaelic football club championship since its establishment in the 1970–71 season. The winners receive the Andy Merrigan Cup.

The championship had a different format this year, employing a random draw for the first round, followed by seeded groups and a knock-out stage.

The tournament consists of 16 teams with the winner not going on to represent Kildare in the Leinster Senior Club Football Championship, due to the latter competition's cancellation. Due to the emergence of and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Gaelic games, the championship had a different format this year, beginning with a group-stage followed by a knock-out stage. Championship activity was postponed temporarily between Friday 7th and Sunday 23 August, when Co. Kildare was placed into lockdown alongside Laois and Offaly.

It was the first club championship to be organised in two years as the 2020-21 championship was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The championship began on 21 November 2021 and ended on 12 February 2022.

The draws for the respective provincial championships took place at various stages between June and September 2022. The championship ran from 22 October 2022 to 22 January 2023.
