The Longford Senior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association competition organised by Longford GAA among the Senior grade Gaelic football clubs in County Longford, Ireland. The winning club qualifies to represent its county in the Leinster Senior Club Football Championship, the winner of which progresses to the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship.
The current champions are Abbeylara, winning their third SFC title in October 2024. [1] The Longford Slashers club has won more titles (16) than any other club, while Clonguish holds the record for most consecutive wins (4) in 1962, 1963, 1964 and 1965.
The Longford Senior Football Championship was first played in 1890, and a total of 105 championships have been successfully completed between 1890 and 2022. The Seán Connolly cup is presented to the winners of the Longford Senior Football Championship. The cup was first presented in 1960.

The Longford County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) or Longford GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Longford. The county board is also responsible for the Longford county teams.
The Armagh Senior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition contested by top-tier Armagh GAA clubs. The Armagh County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association has organised it since 1889.
The Longford Club Hurling Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association competition organised by Longford GAA among hurling clubs in County Longford, Ireland. The winner qualifies to represent the county in the Leinster Junior Club Hurling Championship, the winner of which progresses to the All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship.
The Leinster Senior Club Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football tournament played on a knockout basis between the senior club championship winners of the competing counties in Leinster. The current holders of the Leinster title are Kilmacud Crokes from Dublin. Offaly side Gracefield were the first winners of the Leinster senior club football championship in the 1970–71 season. The most successful clubs are St. Vincent's, and Kilmacud Crokes from Dublin, and Portlaoise from Laois, who have won the Leinster championship on seven occasions. Carlow club Éire Óg won 5 championships in 7 years in the 1990s. Dublin clubs have won the Leinster championship twenty five times, which is more than triple any other county. The winner of this competition represents Leinster in the semi-finals of the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship.

Abbeylara Gaelic Football Club is a Gaelic football club based in Abbeylara, County Longford, Ireland.
Killoe Young Emmets is a Gaelic Football and Ladies' Gaelic football club based in Killoe, County Longford, Ireland. The club is also referred to by the Irish 'Emmet Óg' or by 'Killoe Emmet Óg'. Organised Gaelic Games in the Parish of Killoe can trace its origins back to 1889 with the foundation of the Killoe Erins Pride club. Following a long period of no competition in Longford during the 1890s and early 1900s, the GAA re-emerged in Killoe in late 1903 under the name Killoe Young Emmets and the club competed in Senior Football Championship in 1904, the first such championship held since 1891. Killoe Young Emmets has won 14 Longford Senior Football Championship titles and 1 Longford Senior Hurling Championship title and has thriving Underage and Ladies (Killoe) sections.

Michael Graham is an Irish Gaelic football manager and former player. He has been the manager of the Leitrim senior football team since 2024. He managed the Cavan senior football team from 2018 to 2023, winning the Ulster Senior Football Championship in 2020. He previously played for Cavan and was part of the team that won the Ulster Championship in 1997.
