Trey Moore (born May 5, 2003) is an American football defensive end who plays for the Texas Longhorns. He previously played for the UTSA Roadrunners.

Early life and high school

Moore was born in Houston, Texas. During his high school career, he then attended Smithson Valley High School in the San Antonio area. Moore would decide to commit to play college football for the UTSA Roadrunners. [1] [2]

College career

In Moore's first season in 2021, he notched just one tackle. [3] Moore finished the 2022 with 59 tackles, with 18 being for a loss, eight sacks, six pass deflections, a fumble recovery, and two forced fumbles. [4] His 18 tackles for a loss, where a UTSA school record that was formally set by Marcus Davenport. [5] For his performance on the season, Moore was named a Freshman All-American. [6] [7] After the conclusion of the 2022 season, Moore announced that he would return to the Roadrunners. [8] During week two of the 2023 season, Moore notched three sacks versus Texas State. [9] Moore finished the 2023 season with a school record 14 sacks. [10] [11] For his performance on the year, Moore was named First Team All-AAC and the AAC defensive player of the year. [12] [13]

On December 5, 2023, Moore announced that he would be entering the transfer portal. [14]
