There was a nominal total of 20 quota places available (in parasport events only) for triathlon at the 2022 Commonwealth Games; 10 each for men and women. [1] [2]
Each Commonwealth Games Association (CGA) may qualify up to three places per event, which equates to a maximum quota of six. Nine places per event are determined by the World Triathlon Para Rankings (as of 28 March 2022), with the last spot reserved for a Bipartite Invitation.
All those who qualify are entitled to compete with a guide, which has no impact on quota allocation.

Triathlon is one of the sports at the quadrennial Commonwealth Games competition. It was first granted Commonwealth Games sport status in 2002, and has been held in each edition since, except in Delhi 2010 Games due to the lack of suitable venue for the swimming leg in Delhi. Until 2022, it was a core sport which had to be included in each competition's sporting programme. Para-triathlon was first included as an optional sport in the Gold Coast 2018 games. The next appearance of the sport will take place in the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Victoria, Australia
This article details the qualifying phase for triathlon at the 2020 Summer Olympics. The competition at these Games will comprise a total of 110 athletes coming from their respective NOCs; each has been allowed to enter a maximum of three. This is the second men's paratriathlon at the Commonwealth Games, and the first for athletes with a visual impairment.
