Trinity Health Michigan, formerly Mercy Health, is a not-for-profit, integrated, managed care health care organization based in West Michigan. On April 13, 2022, Mercy Health announced it was changing its name to Trinity Health Michigan. Facilities include hospitals, treatment facilities, urgent-care facilities, as well as physician practices that serve the western Michigan area. [1] Mercy Health is a member of the Catholic Trinity Health system.

History

Mercy Health was formed in 2011 with the combining of Saint Mary's Health Care of Grand Rapids and Mercy Health Partners of Muskegon. Mercy Hospital in Cadillac and Mercy Hospital in Grayling were also incorporated into the group. [1] The hospitals in Cadillac and Grayling were purchased by the Munson Healthcare system in February, 2015. [2]

Mercy Health and Saint Joseph Mercy Health System merged to become Trinity Health Michigan, providing health care services across Michigan.

HSX services provide recent clinical care information, and alert providers and health plans to care events.[2] Health information exchange makes patient care more informed and coordinated, and reduces unnecessary care and readmissions. HSX serves the greater Delaware Valley region, including southeastern Pennsylvania and southern New Jersey.[2]

St. Peter's Health Partners is a healthcare system that "runs a chain of hospitals in the Albany area" and is a member of Trinity Health; the latter includes hospitals in 22 states of the United States.
