TripleLift offers infrastructure and technology for the optimization of Native Advertising through the use of Computer vision and Programmatic advertising. [5] [6] . The company's Branded content platform, Content Dial uses Artificial intelligence and workflow automation to enable more scalable lightweight branded content across multiple publishers. TripleLift's OTT platform enables targeted advertising in streaming OTT content with marketing that is dynamically inserted into the stream in real time [7] .

Native advertising is a type of advertising, mostly online, that matches the form and function of the platform upon which it appears. In many cases, it manifests as either an article or video, produced by an advertiser with the specific intent to promote a product, while matching the form and style which would otherwise be seen in the work of the platform's editorial staff. The word "native" refers to this coherence of the content with the other media that appear on the platform.

Computer vision is an interdisciplinary scientific field that deals with how computers can be made to gain high-level understanding from digital images or videos. From the perspective of engineering, it seeks to automate tasks that the human visual system can do.

Branded content is the practice of marketing via the creation of content that is funded or outright produced by an advertiser. In contrast to content marketing and product placement, branded content is designed to build awareness for a brand by associating it with content that shares its values. The content does not necessarily need to be a promotion for the brand, although it may still include product placement.

History

TripleLift was established in 2012 by Eric Berry, Ari Lewine and Shaun Zacharia. The company received Seed funding in 2012 [8] and Series A funding in 2014. [9] The following year, TripleLift announced its Series B funding from True Ventures, iNovia Capital, Edison and Partners and two others, bringing the total funding raised to $16.6 million. [10]

TripleLift’s headquarters are located in New York City, regional offices are located in Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, Dallas, San Francisco, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Denver, Boston, Paris, Berlin, Sydney and London. The company began with a focus on native advertising [11] [12] and subsequently expanded its platform.
