The Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor is given by Filmfare as part of its annual Filmfare Awards for Hindi films, to recognise a male actor who has delivered an outstanding performance in a supporting role. Although the awards started in 1954, awards for the best supporting actor category started only the following year 1955. As of 2023, Anil Kapoor leads the list, with four wins. Vivek Oberoi currently also holds the record of being the youngest recipient of the award, whereas Anil Kapoor holds the record for being the eldest, while Abhishek Bachchan holds the record for winning the award thrice consecutively.

Parinda (transl. Bird) is a 1989 Indian Hindi-language crime drama film directed, produced and distributed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Agni Sakshi is 1996 Indian Hindi-language thriller drama film directed by Partho Ghosh, written by Ranbir Pushp and Hriday Lani, starring Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar and Manisha Koirala. Alok Nath is an Indian actor known for his work in Hindi cinema and television. He made his film debut with the 1982 English film Gandhi, directed by Sir Richard Attenborough, which won an Oscar Academy Award for Best Picture that year. He appeared in the soap opera, Buniyaad, which took the country by storm in 1986. He was also in Rishtey, which aired from 1999 to 2001. He appeared in Star Plus serials like Sapna Babul Ka...Bidaai, Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Nath was born in Khagaria (Bihar) on 10 July 1956. Nath has a sister, Vineeta Malik, she is known for the portrayal of the character Bhairavi in the television series Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.
Final Cut of Director is a 2016 Indian Hindi-language thriller film written and directed by Bharathiraja. The film stars Nana Patekar and Arjun Sarja, with Rukmini Vijayakumar, Kajal Aggarwal, Niyamat Khan, Vatsal Sheth, and Mushtaq Khan in supporting roles. Himesh Reshammiya composed the music and cinematography was done by B. Kannan. The film was released on 21 October 2016.

It's My Life is a 2020 Indian Hindi-language comedy drama film written and directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by Boney Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor. The film stars Harman Baweja and Genelia D'Souza, while Nana Patekar plays a supporting role. It is a remake of the 2006 Telugu film Bommarillu, with D'Souza reprising her role. Raajneeti (transl. Politics) is a 2010 Indian Hindi-language political thriller film co-written, directed and produced by Prakash Jha, with a screenplay by Anjum Rajabali and Prakash Jha. Depicting an archetypal conflict between rival political families and parties, based on Mahabharata, the film starred an ensemble cast of Ajay Devgn, Nana Patekar, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpayee, Sarah Thompson and Naseeruddin Shah.
