Trujillo Province is one of twelve provinces in La Libertad Region in Peru.
It borders to the north with the Ascope Province, to the east with the Otuzco Province, to the south with the Virú Province, and to the west with the Pacific Ocean.
The province has an area of 1,768.65 square kilometers (682.88 sq mi) and is divided into eleven districts. Nine of these are part of Trujillo's city metropolitan area. The districts of the province are:

Trujillo is a city in coastal northwestern Peru and the capital of the Department of La Libertad. It is the third most populous city and center of the third most populous metropolitan area of Peru. It is located on the banks of the Moche River, near its mouth at the Pacific Ocean, in the Moche Valley. This was a site of the great prehistoric Moche and Chimu cultures before the Inca conquest and subsequent expansion.
La Libertad is a department and region in northwestern Peru. Formerly it was known as the Department of La Libertad. It is bordered by the Lambayeque, Cajamarca and Amazonas regions on the north, the San Martín Region on the east, the Ancash and Huánuco regions on the south and the Pacific Ocean on the west. Its capital is Trujillo, which is the nation's third biggest city. The region's main port is Salaverry, one of Peru's largest ports. The name of the region is Spanish for "freedom" or "liberty"; it was named in honor of the Intendancy of Trujillo's proclaiming independence from Spain in 1820 and fighting for that. It is the ninth smallest department in Peru, but it is also its second-most populous department after Piura and its second-most densely populated department after Lambayeque.
Arequipa is a province in the Arequipa Region, Peru. Its capital, Arequipa, is Peru's second most populous province. It borders the provinces of Islay, Camaná, Caylloma, and the Cusco and Puno regions. According to INEI, in the year 2014 it had a population of 958,351 people.
Víctor Larco Herrera also called commonly Víctor Larco is a district and a city of the north coast of Peru. It is located on a plain along the Pacific Ocean and is linked by a conurbation with Trujillo in La Libertad region. It is considered one of the 9 districts of the urban area known as Trujillo Metropolitano, one of the most populous metropolitan areas of Peru; it is also one of the 11 districts of Trujillo province. Victor Larco is the district that has the highest human development index (HDI) out of Lima Metropolitana, according to a study published by the United Nations Development Programme. In the early twentieth century, for its mild climate and fresh, it was known as Buenos Aires and then in 1945 got the name of Victor Larco Herrera in memory of the illustrious philanthropist Trujillan who was a benefactor of the city.
Paiján is a town in Northern Peru, capital of the district of Paiján of Ascope Province in the region La Libertad. This town is located beside the Pan-American Highway some 54 km north of Trujillo city in the agricultural Chicama Valley.

According to population statistics of INEI, It is the third most populous metropolitan area of Peru.
España Avenue is one of the main vias in the Peruvian city of Trujillo located on the north coast of Peru. This avenue was built in an elliptical shape in the footsteps of the ancient wall of Trujillo and it surrounds the Historic Centre of Trujillo. This avenue hosts shopping centers and several companies. Having elliptical shape your journey begins and ends at the same point, if the tour starts in the west, on Larco Avenue, to scroll through any of the lanes of the avenue will end the tour at the same starting point.
PLANDET is an agency of the Municipality of Trujillo in charge of urban development planning of the city, created by the Municipality of Trujillo with authority granted by the Organic Law of Municipalities, for the government of town. This agency specializes in urban planning support and it has specific functions on the territorial distribution of the city. It is responsible for developing planning documents such as the "Plan of comprehensive and sustainable development of Trujillo in 2015."
Poroto is a town in Northern Peru, capital of the district Poroto in Trujillo Province of the region La Libertad. This town is located some 40 km east of Trujillo city and is primarily an agricultural center in the Valley of Moche.

The Piura Metropolitan Area is the name used to refer to the metropolitan area whose principal city is Piura, located in northern Peru. According to "Concerted development plan Piura 2009–2014" the districts of Piura, Veintiséis de Octubre, Castilla and Catacaos of Piura Province currently are consolidated into a metropolitan area to act with the same urban, industrial and commercial plan. It is one of the most populous metropolitan area of Peru in year 2015.
