Trust in Few is the debut album of Ocala metalcore band We Are Defiance, released in March 2011.

Ocala is a city located in Marion County, Florida, which is part of the northern region of the state. As of the 2013 census, its population, estimated by the United States Census Bureau, was 57,468, making it the 45th most populated city in Florida.

Metalcore is a fusion genre combining elements of extreme metal and hardcore punk. The word is a portmanteau of the two genres. Among other styles blending metal and hardcore, such as crust punk and grindcore, metalcore is noted for its use of breakdowns, which are slow, intense passages conducive to moshing. Pioneering metalcore bands—such as Integrity, Earth Crisis, Converge and All Out War all of which had formed by 1991—are described as leaning more toward hardcore, with their style sometimes being called metallic hardcore, whereas later bands—such as Caliban, Killswitch Engage, All That Remains, Trivium, As I Lay Dying, Bullet for My Valentine, and Parkway Drive—are described as leaning more towards metal. Pantera and Sepultura have been particularly influential to the development of metalcore in the 2000s, which saw many bands in the genre achieve commercial success.

We Are Defiance

We Are Defiance is an American metalcore band from Ocala, Florida. Founded in 2009 by former Sleeping with Sirens and Paddock Park singer Brian Calzini, the band released their only album, Trust in Few, in early 2011 on Tragic Hero.

Background and recording

The band announced that Tyler "Telle" Smith of The Word Alive and Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria would be featured on one track each. Smith was featured on the track "Not Another Song About You", though Worsnop was pulled off Trust in Few by his label Sumerian due to the fact the bands' records came out too close together. [1]

Formed in 2008, the band is signed to Fearless Records.The band currently consists of vocalist Tyler Smith, guitarists Zack Hansen and Tony Pizzuti, and drummer Matt Horn. The group has had several line-up changes throughout their career, with Hansen and Pizzuti as the only remaining founding members. Their 2009 label debut, Empire reached No. 15 on the Top Heatseekers, meeting a great amount of positive acclaim upon its release in 2009. The following year, the group recorded and released their debut full-length album, Deceiver on August 31, 2010, which reached No. 97 on the Billboard 200 and 15 on Independent Albums.

Tom Denney is an American musician from Ocala, Florida. Denney is a founding member and the ex-lead guitarist of A Day to Remember. He has since parted ways with the band and now produces at his own recording studio.

Originally set for release on March 15, the release was delayed after a car accident the band had while touring through the US at the beginning of 2011, when lead vocalist Brian Calzini was brought into the hospital. [2]

Tragic Hero Records is a record label founded in Raleigh, North Carolina in March 2005 to represent the growing metalcore and post-hardcore scene of North Carolina. The label was founded by Tommy LaCombe, David Varnedoe and Jason Ganthner. Alesana was the first band the label signed. Among Tragic Hero's best-known signees are Strawberry Girls and A Skylit Drive, whose most recent album reached No. 64 on the Billboard 200; Alesana, who later signed with Fearless Records, Letlive, who later signed with Epitaph Records, and He Is Legend, who signed with Tragic Hero for their most recent album after several successful full-lengths on other labels.

We Are Harlot, often shortened to just Harlot, is a hard rock supergroup organized by singer Danny Worsnop, of Asking Alexandria and Jeff George who was formerly Sebastian Bach's guitarist. The lineup also includes bassist Brian Weaver from Silvertide and drummer Bruno Agra formerly of Revolution Renaissance. Formed in 2011, they released their first single titled "Denial" in 2014 and released their debut self-titled album on March 30, 2015 in the US, which debuted in US and UK charts and sold 5,000 copies in the US in its first week.
