Glam rock is a style of rock music that developed in the United Kingdom in the early 1970s performed by musicians who wore outrageous costumes, makeup, and hairstyles, particularly platform shoes and glitter. Glam artists drew on diverse sources across music and throwaway pop culture, ranging from bubblegum pop and 1950s rock and roll to cabaret, science fiction, and complex art rock. The flamboyant clothing and visual styles of performers were often camp or androgynous, and have been described as playing with other gender roles. Glitter rock was a more extreme version of glam.
Twisted Sister was an American heavy metal band originally from Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, and later based on Long Island, New York. Their best-known songs include "We're Not Gonna Take It" and "I Wanna Rock", which had music videos noted for their sense of slapstick humor.

Vardis are an English three-piece hard rock, boogie rock and heavy metal band from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England, who enjoyed hits between 1978 and 1986, and reformed in 2014.
"Rock and Roll" is the debut single by English glam rock singer Gary Glitter that was released in 1972, from his debut album Glitter. Co-written by Glitter and Mike Leander, the song is in two parts: Part 1 is a vocal track reflecting on the history of the genre, and Part 2 is a mostly instrumental piece. Both parts were popular in Britain, and the single went to No. 2 on the British charts. In concert, Glitter merged both into one performance.
Keri Kelli is an American hard rock guitarist who has played with artists and groups including Alice Cooper, Slash, Jani Lane, Vince Neil and John Waite. In March 2013 he formed Project Rock together with James Kottak from the Scorpions. Project Rock consisted of Keri Kelli, James Kottak, Tim 'Ripper' Owens, Rudy Sarzo & Teddy Zig-Zag. Kelli is currently in the band Night Ranger.
Vinnie Vincent Invasion was an American glam metal band, formed in 1984 by former Kiss guitarist Vinnie Vincent.
Heavy Stereo were an English alternative rock band, who were active from 1993 to 1999. There were known for their 1970s glam rock styled sound, and their sole album, Déjà Voodoo. They were also on the same record label and opened for Oasis, which Heavy Stereo's frontman Gem Archer later joined.
"I'm the Leader of the Gang " is a song by English glam rock singer Gary Glitter, written by Glitter with Mike Leander and produced by Mike Leander. It was Glitter's first number-one single on the UK Singles Chart, spending four weeks at the top of the chart in July 1973.

"All the Young Dudes" is a song written by English singer-songwriter David Bowie, originally recorded and released as a single by the English rock band Mott the Hoople in 1972 by Columbia Records. Produced by Bowie, he gave the song to the band after they rejected Bowie's "Suffragette City". Bowie would subsequently record the song himself. Regarded as an anthem of glam rock, the song has received acclaim and was a commercial success. In 2021, Rolling Stone ranked "All the Young Dudes" number 166 in its list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time. It is also one of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll.
"Another Rock and Roll Christmas" is a 1984 Christmas song by English glam rock singer Gary Glitter, written by Glitter with Mike Leander and Eddie Seago and produced by Leander. It was one of the most played Christmas hits on UK radio from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s, preceding Glitter's 1997 arrest, and 1999 conviction for possession of child pornography. Initially released in 1984, the song was later included on Glitter's fifth studio album, Boys Will Be Boys (1984) and was reissued many times, both as a single and on several Christmas compilation albums that were released from 1984–1998.

The single also reached No. 9 in Ireland and No. 11 in Australia. The song represented something of a departure from the "trademark" of the Glitter sound. The song was also used in The Runaways drama film of the same name.
Tuff is an American glam metal band, formed in 1985 in Phoenix, Arizona, United States, by guitarist Jorge Manos (DeSaint), bassist Todd Chaisson (Chase), and included guitarist David Janssen, drummer Chris Louthan, and vocalist Michael Meyers (Cordet). This incarnation of Tuff was prior to taking on its "Glam" image, and the music was significantly "heavier". This little documented line-up actually played in the local Phoenix market for roughly a year, at such clubs as opening for various National Acts, including Flotsam and Jetsam.
The Glitter Band are a glam rock band from England, who initially worked as Gary Glitter's backing band under that name from 1973, when they then began releasing records of their own. They were unofficially known as the Glittermen on the first four hit singles by Gary Glitter from 1972 to 1973.
Paul Francis Gadd, known professionally as Gary Glitter, is an English former glam rock singer who achieved success in the 1970s and 1980s. His career ended after he was imprisoned for downloading child pornography in 1999, and was subsequently convicted of child sexual abuse and attempted rape in 2006 and 2015.
High Voltage is the debut studio album by Australian hard rock band AC/DC, released only in Australia, on 17 February 1975. Their first international release in 1976 would also be named High Voltage, though with a radically different track list.

"This Is Our House" is a song by American rock band Bon Jovi. It was originally written by Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora and Desmond Child and recorded in 2009. Originally intended as an exclusive track for the forthcoming National League Super Bowl season, it became a hit with Bon Jovi fans who asked for it to be including on the band's new hits collection. Greatest Hits had already been pressed to disk and it was too late to include the song of a physical format but it made its debut proper as a bonus track if one downloaded Greatest Hit from the band's website. The song was also released as a bonus track on the iTunes edition of their Greatest Hits collection in the UK and Europe, but was released as a digital single in September 2011. Bon Jovi opened many shows in 2010-2012 with This Is Our House.
