The Tucson Bicycle Classic is a multi-day cycling race held in Tucson, Arizona. The race takes annually in March and is contested over three days, consisting of a prologue time trial, a road race and a criterium. [1] [2]

Mari Kim Holden is an American Olympic medalist and World Champion in the sport of cycling. She won a silver medal in the 2000 Olympic Games time trial in Sydney, Australia and the world time trial championship later that year. She also won six U.S. championships, becoming the first American woman to win three consecutive U.S. time trial championships (1998–2000) and scoring a double by winning the U.S. time trial and road championships in 1999. Rock Racing was a cycling team founded in 2007 by Michael Ball. The team is affiliated with Ball's Rock & Republic clothing line. Rock Racing received media attention for hiring outcasts in the sport, including those tainted by performance-enhancing drug scandals. The team's "bad boy image" was furthered by the design of the team kits, and its motto was "Here to stay" which may have served to incite the anti-doping efforts of the time.

Kristin Inga Thompson is a retired road bicycle racer. She competed at the 1984, 1988 and 1992 Olympics with the best result of eighth place in 1988. She won silver medals at the world championships in 1987, 1990 and 1991, and placed third at the Tour de France in 1986 and 1989. Nationally she won United States National Road Race Championships in 1987, 1988, 1990, 1991 and 1993.

Jonas Carney is an American former professional cyclist. Since retiring from competition he has directed the men's Human Powered Health team since its inception in 2007, and the women's Human Powered Health team since 2016.

Hagens Berman–Supermint was a professional UCI women's cycling team, based in the United States, which competes in elite women's road bicycle racing events. After BMW p/b Happy Tooth Dental disbanded at the end of 2015, a number of key riders moved across to the team. The team is co-owned by directeur sportif Jono Coulter and rider Lindsay Goldman.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Andrea Hannos</span> Canadian cyclist

Andrea Hannos is a former Canadian professional road and track racing cyclist who first entered sport in track and field, specializing in the long and triple jump. She attended high school at Little Flower Academy in Vancouver, BC, and graduated in 1991 after winning the triple jump event at the BC high school track and field provincial championships. She then went on to compete in track and field for the Kajaks Track & Field Club and the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds while earning a Bachelor of Science in Cell Biology. She placed ninth in the triple jump at the 1995 Canadian Track and Field Championships in Montreal. Later, as a collegiate cyclist, she attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas, obtaining a Master of Science degree in biology.
