Tudor Sanon (born January 14, 1984) is a male Haitian taekwondo athlete.
Sanon represented Haiti at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, being his national team's flagbearer.
The Haiti national football team represents Haiti in international football. Haiti is administered by the Fédération Haïtienne de Football (FHF), the governing body for football in Haiti. They have been a member of FIFA since 1934, a member of CONCACAF since 1961 and a member of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) since 1978. Haiti's home ground is Stade Sylvio Cator in Port-au-Prince and the team's manager is Gabriel Calderón Pellegrino.
Emmanuel "Manno" Sanon was a Haitian professional footballer who played as a striker. He starred in the Haiti national team winning the 1973 CONCACAF Championship. Haiti qualified for the finals of the 1974 FIFA World Cup. Though they lost all three matches Sanon scored twice in the tournament. His goal against Italy when he ran onto a pass from Philippe Vorbe was the first conceded by Italian keeper Dino Zoff in 1,142 minutes of football.
Antoine Tassy was a Haitian football (soccer) player and manager. He was the manager of the Haiti national football team in the 1974 FIFA World Cup, their only World Cup appearance to date. In 1963, he was the manager of Jamaica. Earlier in 1963, he was the manager of Racing Club Haïtien, who were eventually declared winners of the 1963 CONCACAF Champions' Cup.
Philippe Vorbe is a former Haitian footballer who played as a midfielder for the Haiti national football team in the 1974 FIFA World Cup in West Germany. A legendary player in Haiti, he provided Emmanuel Sanon the pass that resulted in the famous goal that put an end to Italian goalkeeper Dino Zoff's no-goal streak. Vorbe played for the New York Generals and Violette Athletic Club. He ascended from player to leader and is now the coach of Violette.

Pikliz is a condiment in Haitian cuisine of pickled cabbage, carrots, bell peppers and Scotch bonnet peppers. It is often seasoned with garlic and onion and pickled in white vinegar. The spicy dish is very commonly served on the table along with other dishes to enhance the flavor. It is useful for cutting through the greasiness of fried foods such as griot, tassot, or bannann peze and enhancing rice and beans. The name of the dish itself may be based on the French word piquer which means 'to sting'. It has traditionally been produced at the household level but it is increasingly produced industrially as the number of Haitians living abroad also increases.
Roosevelt Sanon is a Haitian artist who was born in 1951 in Jacmel to Bejamine Jean-Pierre Sanon and Clément Sanon. He began painting at age 17 with no instruction. He later received mentoring from Raphaël Surin and others. His siblings Lamar and Jeannet Sanon are also painters. When he was 23, Sanon was the grand prizewinner in an art competition sponsored by the German embassy in Haiti and the Musée d’Art Haïtien. Afterwards, he traveled to Germany to study the work of European artists. From 1979 to 1985, Sanon has exhibited his work in France, Switzerland, England and Haiti between 1979 and 1985. Some of his work is displayed in the Haitian embassy in Washington, DC.

Jovenel Moïse, the 43rd president of Haiti, was assassinated on 7 July 2021 at 1 am EDT (UTC−04:00) at his residence in Port-au-Prince. A group of 28 foreign mercenaries, mostly from Colombia, are alleged to be responsible for the killing. First Lady Martine Moïse was also shot multiple times in the attack, and was airlifted to the United States for emergency treatment. Later in the day, USGPN killed three of the suspected assassins and arrested 20 more. A manhunt was launched for other gunmen as well as the masterminds of the attack. Haitian chief prosecutor Bedford Claude confirmed plans to question Moïse's top bodyguards; none of the president's security guards were killed or injured in the attack. US authorities have since arrested eleven suspects alleged to have conspired in the assassination. Martine Moïse and former prime minister Claude Joseph were formally charged on 19 February 2024 with conspiring in the assassination.
