tvN10 Awards is an award ceremony for excellence in television in South Korea, organized by tvN, one of the networks under the umbrella of CJ E&M. It was held at the KINTEX in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province and was emceed by Kang Ho-dong and Shin Dong-yup on October 9, 2016.

Background

A part of "tvN10 Festival", the inaugural ceremony was a celebration of 10 years of broadcasting by cable network tvN. [1] [2] [3] The nominees were chosen from dramas, comedy shows and variety shows that aired on tvN from October 2006 to September 2016.

Eric Mun is a South Korean rapper, songwriter and actor. He is a member and leader of the South Korean boy band Shinhwa. He is also well known for several dramas such as Phoenix (2004), Super Rookie (2005), and Another Oh Hae-young (2016). He was with Top Class Entertainment from 2007 to December 2013. tvN (South Korean TV channel) South Korean television network

TVN is a South Korean nationwide pay television network owned by CJ E&M, the entertainment division of CJ ENM. tvN programming consists of a variety of entertainment content focused on television series and variety shows. It is available on cable, on satellite through SkyLife, and on IPTV platforms in South Korea. Since 2014, the network has been headed by Kang Ho-sung and Rhee Myung-han. From June 28, 2010, to April 30, 2013, tvN Go was broadcast by renting a channel from Korea DMB.

Kim Hee-ae is a South Korean actress. Reply 1988 is a South Korean television series starring Lee Hye-ri, Ryu Jun-yeol, Go Kyung-pyo, Park Bo-gum, and Lee Dong-hwi. Beginning in the year 1988, it revolves around five friends and their families living in the same neighborhood of Ssangmun-dong, Dobong District, Northern Seoul. Signal is a 2016 South Korean fantasy police procedural television series starring Lee Je-hoon, Kim Hye-soo, and Cho Jin-woong. Based on the 2000 film Frequency in premise and inspired by real-life criminal incidents in Korea, including the Hwaseong serial murders, the series aired on tvN from January 22 to March 12, 2016 on Fridays and Saturdays at 20:30 KST for 16 episodes.

The 5th APAN Star Awards ceremony was held on October 2, 2016 at MBC Sangam Culture Plaza, Sangam-dong, Seoul. Shin Dong-yup and Honey Lee were the host of the award ceremony. First held in 2012, the annual awards ceremony recognizes the excellence in South Korea's television. Organised by Ilgan Sports and JTBC Plus, it is South Korea's only awards ceremony which recognises excellence in both film and television.

The 6th APAN Star Awards ceremony was held on October 13, 2018 at Kyunghee University Peace Hall, Seoul, hosted by Kim Seung-woo. First held in 2012, the annual awards ceremony recognizes the excellence in South Korea's television. Nominees were selected from 93 Korean dramas that aired on broadcasting networks MBC, KBS and SBS and cable channels tvN, jtbc, OCN, MBN and TV Chosun, from September 2, 2017 to September 2, 2018.

The 56th Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony, organised by Ilgan Sports and JTBC Plus, was held on June 5, 2020, at KINTEX, Ilsanseo-gu, Gyeonggi Province, hosted by Shin Dong-yup, Bae Suzy and Park Bo-gum for the third consecutive year. The annual awards ceremony is one of South Korea's most prestigious award shows, recognizing excellence in film, television, and theatre. The ceremony was initially set for May 1, but was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It did not invite an on-site audience to prevent the spread of the disease.

The 57th Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony, organised by Ilgan Sports and JTBC Plus, was held on May 13, 2021, at KINTEX, Ilsanseo-gu, Gyeonggi Province, beginning at 9:00 p.m. KST. It was hosted by Shin Dong-yup and Bae Suzy, and was broadcast live in South Korea by JTBC and internationally by TikTok. The event was held with no on-site audience, due to COVID-19 pandemic in South Korea. The annual awards ceremony is one of South Korea's most prestigious award shows, recognizing excellence in film, television, and theatre.
