New Order are an English rock band formed in 1980 by vocalist and guitarist Bernard Sumner, bassist Peter Hook and drummer Stephen Morris. The band formed after the demise of Joy Division, following the suicide of lead singer Ian Curtis. They were joined by Gillian Gilbert on keyboards later that year. New Order's integration of post-punk with electronic and dance music made them one of the most acclaimed and influential bands of the 1980s. They were the flagship band for Manchester-based independent record label Factory Records and its nightclub The Haçienda, and they worked in long-term collaboration with graphic designer Peter Saville.
The Ultramagnetic MCs is an American hip hop group based in The Bronx, New York City, NY, United States. Founded by Kool Keith, the group also includes Ced Gee, TR Love, and Moe Love. Tim Dog became an unofficial member in 1989. In 1990, DJ Jaycee was added as a road manager and backup DJ. Big.D was put down with the crew by Kool Keith in 1989. A former member, Rooney Roon, was fired following an assault arrest. Beat-boxer Rahzel was also involved with the group early in its career. The group's work was associated with unorthodox sampling, polysyllabic rhymes, and bizarre lyrical imagery.
Keith Edward Elam, better known by his stage name Guru, was an American rapper and record producer. He was a member of the hip hop duo Gang Starr, along with DJ Premier. He was born in Roxbury, Massachusetts.
Tortoise is an American post-rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois in 1990. The band incorporates krautrock, dub, minimal music, electronica and jazz into their music, a combination sometimes termed "post-rock". Tortoise have been consistently credited for the rise of the post-rock movement in the 1990s.
Faithless is a British electronic band formed in London, England in 1994 by Maxi Jazz, Sister Bliss and Rollo. The current, official lineup of the band consists of Bliss and Rollo. The group is best known for the songs "Salva Mea", "Insomnia", "God Is a DJ" and "We Come 1". Faithless has released seven studio albums, with total sales of the first six exceeding 15 million records worldwide. The band announced they would separate after their Passing the Baton dates at Brixton Academy on 7 and 8 April 2011. However, in February 2015, Jazz, Bliss and Rollo reunited to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the band, but Jazz left to form Maxi Jazz & The E-Type Boys later that year.

Kieran Hebden, best known by the stage name Four Tet, is an English musician active in electronic music. Hebden first came to prominence as a member of the post-rock band Fridge before establishing himself as a solo artist with charting UK releases such as Rounds (2003) and Everything Ecstatic (2005). In addition to his eleven studio albums as Four Tet, Hebden's work includes a number of improvisational works with jazz drummer Steve Reid and collaborations with Burial and Thom Yorke.
The Beatnuts are an American hip hop group and production duo from New York City. Its current members are JuJu and Psycho Les. JuJu is a Dominican American from Corona and Psycho Les is a Colombian American from Jackson Heights, Queens. Although only peripheral members, they are routinely acknowledged by Q-Tip as being members of Native Tongues. The Beatnuts were originally a trio before Fashion, now known as Al' Tariq, left the group to start a solo career. V.I.C. was also a member of The Beatnuts' production team for a while.
Ayalah Deborah Bentovim, better known by her stage name Sister Bliss, is a British keyboardist, record producer, DJ and songwriter. In the studio, she is best known for her work with Rollo Armstrong as one half of the production duo Rollo & Sister Bliss, and particularly as part of Faithless.
Tiefschwarz are a German house group consisting of brothers, Alexander "Ali" and Sebastian "Basti" Schwarz, which formed in Stuttgart in 1996. Peter Hoff, who runs the Benztown studios in Stuttgart, joined later, and completed the first Tiefschwarz production team. Their name means "deep black" in German, and is a combination of the brothers' surnames, and their love of deep house.
Massacre was founded in 1980 in New York City by guitarist Fred Frith, bassist Bill Laswell and drummer Fred Maher as an improvising and experimental rock band. They performed live for just over a year and recorded a studio album, Killing Time (1981). Frith and Laswell reformed Massacre in 1998 with drummer Charles Hayward, and released four more albums, Funny Valentine (1998), Meltdown (2001), Lonely Heart (2007) and Love Me Tender (2013). The last three albums were recorded live, the first in London, and the others at European festivals between 1999 and 2008.
Money Jungle is a studio album by pianist Duke Ellington with double bassist Charles Mingus and drummer Max Roach. It was recorded on September 17, 1962, and released in February 1963 by United Artists Jazz. All but one of the compositions were written by Ellington, with four of the seven on the original LP being recorded for the first time on this album. Later releases on CD added eight tracks from the same recording session.

Cedric Dormaine Hill better known by his stage name E.S.G. is a southern rapper from Houston, Texas, and is a member of the Screwed Up Click. He helped to popularize the "Chopped and Screwed" style of rap music. His debut album Ocean of Funk was released in 1994 and it contained the popular single "Swangin' & Bangin'", which would later be remixed in his follow-up Sailin' Da South. He has released 11 other albums since then. He is also credited with writing the hook for "Wanna be a Baller" on Lil Troy's album Sittin' Fat Down South.
Jason Heinrichs is a musical producer who works with many bands and artists. He plays piano, guitar, bass and drums in many of his productions. He released the now rare and classic Anomaly album entitled Howle’s Book on Groove Garden Records with a variety of collaborators who went on to be respected and prolific artists including Slug from Atmosphere, Eye Dea and DJ Abilities and various musicians. It's been widely regarded as an underground classic and still resonates with a great many people. He attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA from 1989 to 1994, graduating near the top of his class and earning two bachelor's degrees in Film Scoring & Music Synthesis Production. While there, he was awarded the Peter Gabriel Production Scholarship by the Berklee faculty. Jason Heinrichs engineered & remixed a track on the Lucy Ford album put out by the hip hop group Atmosphere under the name Anomaly. He has produced and remixed many other Minneapolis locals with his studio Satori Sounds. He collaborated with Chicago vocalist Lady Sarah to form the duo called Roomsa. Roomsa has been featured on many compilations including Sneak, Gene Farris, and Miguel Migs. Their songs have been picked up by labels such as Farris Wheel, Salted Music ("Sunrise"), and Aphrodisio. Aphrodisio released their full-length CD called Oceans on March 9, 2007. The songs on the album vary from Down tempo and House music. Jason Heinrichs is also a DJ spinning a variety of electronic music in Minneapolis and other cities. They were featured in an interview in Britain's DJ Magazine and in 2007 were picked as the Next 100 artists to watch in Los Angeles‘ URB magazine. In 2000, he played all the instruments, produced, engineered, arranged, recorded and mastered the also classic and out of print sought after album In Definition with the rap duo Cenospecies, releasing it on his own label Peak Records. It introduced the world to P.O.S. from the successful group Doomtree and won an award from The City Pages in Minneapolis.
Robert Andre Glasper is an American pianist, record producer, songwriter, and musical arranger with a career that bridges several different musical and artistic genres, mostly centered around jazz. To date, Glasper has won four Grammy Awards and received nine nominations across eight categories.
CoreaHancock is an acoustic live album by Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock. It was recorded over the course of several live performances in February 1978 and released in 1979. Corea has top billing on this album, as Hancock did for An Evening with Herbie Hancock & Chick Corea: In Concert, another recording of the same tour released on Hancock's label. The CD version heavily edits what was released on the final side of the vinyl version.
Panthalassa: The Music of Miles Davis 1969–1974 is a remix album by Miles Davis, released on February 16, 1998, by Sony Records. It contains compositions from prior albums, including In a Silent Way (1969), On the Corner (1972), and Get Up With It (1974), remixed by Bill Laswell; it is subtitled "Reconstruction and Mix Translation by Bill Laswell". The album was composed as a dark, continuous tone poem divided by four sections of Davis' jazz fusion recordings. Panthalassa received generally positive reviews from music critics and sold well, charting at number four on the Billboard Top Jazz Albums.
"Celebrate" is a song by Australian electronic music duo Empire of the Sun. It was released as the third and final single from their second studio album, Ice on the Dune, on 14 February 2014. It was co-written by the band's members Luke Steele and Nick Littlemore with Daniel Johns, Peter Mayes and Scott Horscroft. It was remixed by various artists and two digital remixes were released in February.
