Plot

As the Civil War begins, Carson is sent by President Lincoln to protect a frontier outpost. Accompanied by youngster Danny, Carson thwarts a band of stagecoach robbers and saves a wagon train. [3]

The Painted Desert is a 1931 American pre-Code Western film released by Pathé Exchange. Produced by E. B. Derr, it was directed by Howard Higgin, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Tom Buckingham.
