Tyrone Ellis (born July 31,1946) is an American pastor and politician. He is a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives from the 38th District,being first elected in 1979. He is a member of the Democratic party. [1]
In June 2017,Ellis announced his retirement from politics. He said he would continue serving as a pastor at the Running Water Baptist Church in Noxubee County,Mississippi. [2]

Laurel is the headquarters of the Jones County Sheriff's Department,which administers in the county. Laurel is the principal city of a micropolitan statistical area named for it. Major employers include Howard Industries,Sanderson Farms,Masonite International,Family Health Center,Howse Implement,Thermo-Kool,and South Central Regional Medical Center. Laurel is home to the Lauren Rogers Museum of Art,Mississippi's oldest art museum,established by the family of Lauren Eastman Rogers.
Vicksburg is a historic city in Warren County,Mississippi,United States. It is the county seat. The population was 21,573 at the 2020 census. Located on a high bluff on the east bank of the Mississippi River across from Louisiana,Vicksburg was built by French colonists in 1719. The outpost withstood an attack from the native Natchez people. It was incorporated as Vicksburg in 1825 after Methodist missionary Newitt Vick. The area that is now Vicksburg was long occupied by the Natchez Native Americans as part of their historical territory along the Mississippi. The first Europeans who settled the area were French colonists who built Fort Saint Pierre in 1719 on the high bluffs overlooking the Yazoo River at present-day Redwood. They conducted fur trading with the Natchez and others,and started plantations. During the American Civil War,it was a key Confederate river-port,and its July 1863 surrender to Ulysses S. Grant,along with the concurrent Battle of Gettysburg,marked the turning-point of the war.

He was a member of the Bears team that won Super Bowl XX following the 1985 NFL season. He was also a member of the "Shuffling Crew" in the video The Super Bowl Shuffle. In high school Keys was a member of the Callaway High School Chargers of Jackson,Mississippi which won all 12 of their 1975 season games and won the Big 8 Conference championship. In college at Mississippi State University Keys played four years at defensive tackle. In 1980 Keys made a last minute tackle of Alabama quarterback Don Jacobs,causing a fumble which sealed the Bulldogs' 6–3 upset of the #1 Crimson Tide.

Moor High School was a historically black,public secondary school in Starkville,Mississippi. The school had roots in the Pleasant Grove Community School. In 2002,Moor was closed,then consolidated and merged with Alexander,another historically black high school in Starkville,Mississippi. The new school was housed at the Moor High location. In 2015 the state caused the Oktibbeha County School District to merge with the Starkville School District,and Moor was shuttered as a high school. The school district continued to use it for some time.
