UAAP beach volleyball championships

The University Athletic Association of the Philippines beach volleyball tournament started in SY 2006-07 as a demonstration sport. The event is now held yearly. It is held at the SM Sands by the Bay in Pasay.

The University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP), established in 1938, is an athletic association of eight Metro Manila universities in the Philippines. The eight-member schools are Adamson University, Ateneo de Manila University, De La Salle University (DLSU), Far Eastern University (FEU), National University (NU), University of the East (UE), University of the Philippines Diliman (UP), and the University of Santo Tomas (UST). Varsity teams from these universities compete annually in the league's 32 events from 18 disciplines to vie for the overall championship title, namely, 3x3 basketball, athletics, badminton, baseball, basketball, beach volleyball, billiards, boxing, chess, fencing, football, judo, softball, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo poomsae, taekwondo kyorugi (sparring), tennis, and volleyball.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) beach volleyball tournament is held in March, the beginning of the dry season in the Philippines.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">UST Growling Tigers</span> Varsity team

The UST Growling Tigers are the college athletic teams representing the University of Santo Tomas in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. They hold the most UAAP Overall Championships with 45 Seniors' Overall Championships and 21 Juniors' Overall Championships.

The school rivalry between Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University began when both educational institutions participated in the National Collegiate Athletic Association of the Philippines (NCAA) and has carried over to the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) where both universities compete in currently.

The 2012 UST Growling Tigers men's basketball team represented University of Santo Tomas in the 75th season of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. The men's basketball tournament for the school year 2012-2013 began on July 14, 2012 and the host school for the season was National University.

Alyssa Caymo Valdez is a Filipino volleyball player who currently plays for the Creamline Cool Smashers. She was a member of the collegiate varsity women's volleyball team of Ateneo de Manila University in both indoor and beach volleyball. She was most outstanding as an indoor volleyball player where she brought multiple championship titles and a lot of honor for the university. She is a current member of Philippines national team. Her global recognition paved the way for her to play in other countries like Thailand for 3BB Nakornnont and Taiwan for Attack Line Volleyball Club.

Michele Theresa Imperial Gumabao is a Filipino volleyball player and beauty pageant titleholder. She is currently signed to the Creamline Cool Smashers of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), and has previously played for teams in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL). She was named "Best opposite spiker" five times in her professional career and was the Finals MVP in the 2016 Shakey's V-League Reinforced Conference.

Maria Carmela "Mela" Tunay is Filipina volleyball former player, actress, and TV host. She played for the UST Lady Tigresses in the UAAP and the Cignal HD Spikers in the PSL until 2016. She, then transferred and played for the Petron Blaze Spikers from 2017 to 2019.

Mary Joy "Majoy" Dela Cruz Baron is a Filipino volleyball player. She went to Concepcion Catholic School in Concepcion, Tarlac. She attended college at De La Salle University. She is currently playing for the PLDT High Speed Hitters playing as a middle blocker. Baron is also part of the Philippine National Women's Volleyball Team.

Bernadeth Pons is a Filipino indoor and beach volleyball athlete. She is currently playing for the Creamline Cool Smashers at the Premier Volleyball League.

Cherry Ann Rondina, popularly known as Sisi Rondina, is a Filipino indoor and beach volleyball player. She is currently playing for the Choco Mucho Flying Titans at the Premier Volleyball League.

Heather Anne Guino-o is a Filipino volleyball player for the Capital1 Power Spikers in the Premier Volleyball League.

The FEU Lady Tamaraws are the women's collegiate varsity volleyball team of the Far Eastern University. They compete in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP).
