The UC Riverside Highlanders women's basketball team represents the University of California, Riverside in Riverside, California, United States. The school's team currently competes in the Big West Conference. [2] They play their home games at the Student Recreation Center Arena.

History

The Highlanders have appeared in the NCAA Tournament three times since joining Division I, making it in 2006, 2007, and 2010 after winning the Big West title. They have also made the WNIT in 2009, 2011, and 2016. [3] [4]

The 2012–13 UC Riverside Highlanders men's basketball team represented University of California, Riverside during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Highlanders, led by sixth year head coach Jim Wooldridge, played their home games at the Student Recreation Center Arena and were members of the Big West Conference. Due to low APR scores, the Highlanders were ineligible for post season play, including the Big West Tournament. They finished the season 6–25, 3–15 in Big West play to finish in last place.

Doug Smith is an American former college baseball coach who retired after the 2014 season. He had been coaching the UC Riverside Highlanders baseball team. He held that position since the 2005 season. Smith was the second coach to lead the Highlanders since their transition to Division I in 2001 and fourth since the establishment of the program in 1958.

The Portland State Vikings women's basketball team represents Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.
