UMF Stokkseyri is an Icelandic association football club. It is located in a village called Stokkseyri in the southern part of Iceland. The club currently plays in 4. deild (5th level on pyramid). [1]

Ungmennafélag Stokkseyrar (e. Stokkseyri's Youth Club), simply known as Stokkseyri, was established in 1908 as a general sports club and is one of the oldest sports clubs in Iceland.

The Great Þjórsá Lava is the largest lava flow in Iceland and the largest lava that is known to have erupted in a single eruption in the Holocene. It belongs to a group of lavas known as the Tungnaá lavas. It was erupted in the Veiðivötn region, Central Iceland, 8600 years BP. The crater area is covered by younger lavas and eruptives. The Þjórsá Lava does not appear on the surface until 70 km downstream of its supposed crater area.

Árborg Football Club, is an Icelandic football club in the municipality of Árborg, which contains two villages, Stokkseyri and Eyrarbakki, one country side called Sandvíkurhreppur, and a town called Selfoss. The club's ground is in Selfoss where most of the players come from. Árborg FC currently plays in 4. deild karla . They have been active members of KSÍ since 2001 before that the club was called Lesbískir Mávar(lesbian Seagulls) and played in the Sunnlenska Utandeild(Non division football south). Guðmundur Garðar Sigfússon is Árborg FC's most capped player with over 200 official games.

Smederevo Hall is an indoor arena in Smederevo, Serbia. It was finished in June 2009, for 2009 Summer Universiade. The hall is located within the SC Smederevo. It is the home arena of domestic KK Smederevo 1953, OK Smederevo Carina, RK Smederevo as well as other sports clubs from Smederevo. In the 2013/2014 season the arena was a home of basketball club KK Mega Vizura, who played in the regional ABA League. Sports Hall has possibilities for various sports events alongside basketball, futsal, volleyball, handball, table tennis and martial arts, there is a bowling alley and indoor shooting range.

It began with the first round on 30 April 2013 and ended on 17 August 2013. The final was played at Laugardalsvöllur, the Icelandic national stadium, and was won by Fram, who beat Stjarnan in a penalty shoot-out after the match had finished 3–3. It was Fram's eighth Icelandic Cup triumph, and their first since 1989.

Magni Grenivík is an Icelandic sports club from the village of Grenivík, mainly known for its football team. The club has a football team currently playing in the second tier of Icelandic football also known as Inkasso-deild karla. Magni was founded in 1915 by Magnús Björnsson making it one of the oldest teams in Icelandic football history.

The 2019 Valletta Cup, the inaugural edition of the Valletta Cup, was a Twenty20 cricket tournament held in Malta between 17 and 20 October 2019. The participating teams were the hosts Malta along with Czech Republic, Iceland and a Hungary XI. Matches played between Malta and the Czech Republic had official Twenty20 International (T20I) status, but because Iceland were not an Associate Member of the ICC and the selected Hungarian squad was not an official national side, matches involving either of these teams did not have T20I status. The matches were played at Marsa Sports Club in Marsa. The Hungarian XI won all of their round-robin matches and their semi-final, but were beaten by the Czech Republic in the final.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Foreman Thuridur</span>

Þuríður Einarsdóttir, commonly known as Foreman Thuridur or Þuríður formaður, was an Icelandic sea captain. Unusually for a woman, for over half a century she worked as an increasingly renowned fisherman, first as a deckhand then taking command of boats as "foreman", the term traditionally used for captain in Iceland. She is also known for helping to identify those behind the infamous Kambur robbery in 1827.
